This charm as written seems too weak for a solar charm, particularly when contrasted with Precision of the Striking Raptor
Consider: At short range this charm is useless, while PotSR is fully effective. At medium range this charm costs three motes to eliminate a -2 penalty. PotSR could compensate for 2 motes. At long range this charm costs three motes to eliminate a -4 penalty; slightly more efficient than PotSR.
Summary:
This charm's uses are currently limited to:
- - Saving one mote when attacking at long range.
- - Adding a small additional bonus at medium/long range when PotSR has already been maxed out on the attack.
- - Solars who don't also have PotSR.
Actually tripling the range of the attack gives this charm a real use, although it still seems fairly weak. - Toram
I'd bet the last slice of pizza that it was intended that way, despite sloppy wording. - NatalieD
