The Well of the Void

In the center of Stygia in the Underworld, a great pit descends into infinite darkness. On the walls of the pit are black openings, sometimes lit by pale ghost-lamps. These openings lead into the Labyrinth, and many are windows and doors into the temples of the nephwracks. Should an unfortunate soul descend further into the Well of the Void, as the pit is named, he would also pass manses of the DeathLords and finally, before he dissolved into Oblivion, the great temple-tombs of the Malfeans themselves.

To fall into the Well of the Void is to commit irrevocable suicide.
