Kraken's Sorcery

Luna's War Blessing

Kraken devised this potent ritual to aid his barbarian followers in their struggle against the Dead of the Sea. The ritual lasts from moonrise to moonset, beginning with a simple prayer to Luna from her Chosen. Then the words of the prayer are taken up by the gathered barbarians, singing the praises of Luna the Huntress, Luna the Warrior and Luna the Ever Watchful Guardian of Creation. During the recitation of the prayer (which takes till the moon is at its zenith) each recipient of the blessing approaches Kraken, who cuts their arm with a moonsilver blade, allowing the blood to drip into a large bowl carved from coral, where it mingles with that of their fellows. As the moon reaches it's peak Kraken himself adds his blood to the bowl, some soil (representing the Dragon of Earth), seawater (for the Dragon of Water), and seeds (for the Dragon of Wood). The contents of the bowl are then ignited and extinguished with breath (for the Dragons of Fire and Air) - infusing the mixture with essence and transforming it to a silver fluid that glows softly with an inner light. For the final part of the ritual the recipients again approach Kraken, who offers the bowl so that they may take a draught. When the last person has drank and returned to their place Kraken himself drains the bowl dry, and with a great shout of praise to the heavens calls down essence laden lightning that arcs between his followers, setting their eyes aflame, hardening their skin, infusing their thews with power and stiffening their resolve to face those that would dare challenge them.

This one confused me a bit because it added to the attributes of an existing set of Mooks rather than creating new ones but then I figured that it was pretty much the same thing... so how's this:

Mechanics: Increases the Threat level of a group of Mooks by 6
Circle: Celestial
Power: 3 (adds 6 to the Threat level of the group)
Finesse: 1 (to match the Mooks existing number of hits per round)
Effects: 1 (adds to Threat level)
Range: 0 (touch)
Scope: 2 (up to 10 targets, or in this case, Threat levels of Mooks)
Duration: 2 (one scene/battle)

Difficulty: 9 / 2 = 5

Mist of Concealment
During times of peace a thick fog bank can be a vessel's worst enemy, concealing reefs, rocks and other dangers. During times of war however it can be a powerful ally, allowing a weaker force to ambush a more numerous enemy, sending their ships to the deep under cover of fog and escaping. This ritual takes some time to perform, but it's effects can be potent in the right situation. The sorcerer adopts the posture of supplicant within a circle drawn in chalk on the deck of his ship, muttering prayers to the spirits of wavecrests, zephyrs, light breezes and dew, entreating them to hear his request and act as his advocates to their brethren in the Court of Mist. He lights sweet incense, releases a caged butterfly, offers salt to the sea and sets lit candles at the cardinal points of the circle, each representing an elemental pole with the mast of the vessel acting as the pole of Earth - this represents the sorcerer acknowledging the majesty of the elemental Dragons and their children. As the candles burn the sorcerer gathers essence from the air and from the sea, binding it to his will, generating a pearl of fog which quickly and silently grows in size. At the culmination of the ritual the sorcerer hurls the now watermelon sized ball of essence skyward, which shimmers and dematerialises. Over the next 10 minutes wisps of mist and fog rise from the ocean around the sorcerer, forming a thick fogbank that obscures the vision of everyone caught within it, except the sorcerer himself.

Scope: 3 (up to 100 targets or levels of Mooks)
Duration: 2 (one scene/battle)

Difficulty: 13 / 2 = 7
