Welcome to the Exalted Wiki!

Foremost, I would welcome anybody randomly browsing this page to the Exalted Wikipedia. The purpose of this page, and of the more that I intend to contribute to, is that somebody who hears about Exalted but never has played it before, could be confused browsing content here on the wiki. Like any good tabletop RPG, Exalted is full of definitions that seasoned players take for granted, but confused all of us in the beginning. Ever try to research D20 and not know what armor class meant? My point exactly. The purpose of this is to provide guides to people interested or curious about Exalted, but who want to know more about the game before shelling out hard earned dough to buy books on a game. This is a work in progress, and I will work on it as I can, until reasonably finished, and after some input, will 'go live' on the wiki.

Disclaimer

Up front, just know that Exalted is my tabletop RPG of choice. I am sure to offend other avid fanboi's of their particular system. In my mind, Exalted is superior to those other systems. Just know, however, it is superior for my intents and purposes. Keep in mind the adage 'different strokes for different folks'. In now way am I demeaning other systems - I have even had fun times and games in other systems. I just have grown to love Exalted over all those other ones.

Why Exalted?101

So, why do I love Exalted so much? What does it offer to me, that other tabletop RPGs cannot?

  • Setting Content - dynamic and varied NPCs, and the 'everything under the kitchen sink' style (that actually works!)
  • Heroes are Actually Heroes - and are not killed at 1st level by a random house cat. Beginning characters are EPIC heroes.
  • Story Driven - I am free to create a story, that we as a group, explore together, penultimately with Creation shattering implications. EPIC!
  • Epic Feel - (did I mention EPIC?)
