> Ikselam > If you don't own the Abyssal book, they learn spirit Charms. If you do own it, they learn those wacky Arcanoi instead. Given that you DO own the Abyssal book, I don't think ghosts should learn Charms, nor spirits Arcanoi. Charms are magic powers used by the living, Arcanoi are used by the dead, and never the twain shall meet, &c.

ikselam seems to have it. The basic spirit Charms make an excellent stop-gap measure to simulate Arcanoi in the way that Solar Charms can simulate Abyssal and Deathlord powers. If you actually have the Abyssals book, you have the more accurate information.

The Silver Child and Shade Tiger are really weird ghosts who break the rules. This only tends to happen in extraordinary situations and seems to be confined to former sorcerers (at least as suggested by Abyssals and the example in Halta). No, there aren't rules to handle the oddballs.

Another key difference, however, is that divine Charms tend to have few Prerequisites (if any), whereas ghosts often need to master a cascade of lesser arts to achieve similar effects.
