Subject: Demon Summoning Q rebeccaborgstrom - 11/18/2003 16:26:26

Yup. I deliberately built the demons in GoD as a reasonable summoner's toolset.

I mean, it's a valid paradigm, where the Storyteller rubs hands together and says, "Demon summoning, eh? Well, you don't know what'll happen, but you can try it . . ." But it's not the paradigm that Exalted really uses for Sorcery. You're buying spells with Charm slots, which makes it ultimately a bit like "Iron Whirlwind, eh? Well, you don't really know how many attacks you'll get, or who they'll hit, or whether it'll teleport you to Skull Mountain, or how it'll impact your love life, but you can always *try*, and I bet it'll be interesting plot!"
