For the flavor of these Gaians, imagine the Avatar, as a druid (but without the animal forms; that's for Lunars).
They may seem at first glance to be overpowered, but really they are more an example of Jack of All Stats. Gaians are the ultimate generalists; they have access to an order of magnitude more options than any other Exalt, but none of it is any more powerful than what everyone else can get. In fact, if a Gaian wishes to take full advantage of her ability to generalize, she will likely end up much weaker — or at least grow in power much more slowly — than her peers, as she takes longer to reach the higher, more powerful Charms and abilities and effects, etc.
