Under One Banner Prana
Cost: 4m, 1wp; Mins: War 5, Essence 3; Type: Simple (Speed 4 in long ticks, DV-0)
Keywords: Combo-OK, Obvious, War
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: Any War Excellency, Commanding the Ideal Celestial Army

By invoking an immense phantom battle standard from his anima, the Solar can keep even the most undisciplined mob in order. While using this Charm, the Solar requires one less relay per dot of Permanent Essence in Mass Combat to keep order. If he has that many relays anyway, then add one to the Drill of his unit. While the Exalt is under the effects of Under One Banner Prana, his anima glows brightly enough to read by, as if the character had spent 8 to 10 motes of Peripheral Essence. Drill may exceed 5 with this Charm.

Energetic Inspiration
Cost: 10m, 1wp; Mins: War 5, Essence 3; Type: Simple (Speed 4 in long ticks, DV-0)
Keywords: Combo-OK, Obvious, War
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: Heroism-Encouraging Presence

An inspiring general can drive soldiers beyond hunger, thirst, and sleep. With this Charm, the Exalt becomes that general, her mighty personal magnetism bringing strength back to tired muscles and fire into the stomachs of her troops. Armies under the influence of this Charm will find themselves driven beyond the limits of mortal endurance and thriving. The Solar may influence a number of units equal to her Essence, which must all be within (her personal Essence x 10) miles. Each unit gains additional Endurance equal to the Solar’s Essence, and the player gains a +1 die bonus to any rolls to avoid having the unit lose Endurance. Outside of Mass Combat, the Exalt’s troops gain a +1 die bonus to all Resistance rolls for the scene, and if currently under the negative effects of failed Resistance roll, should roll again now for the second wind granted by the Charm.

Few Fight As Many
Cost: 15m, 1wp; Mins: War 5, Essence 4; Type: Simple
Keywords: Combo-Basic, Obvious, War
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: Energetic Inspiration, Under One Banner Prana

It is hard- almost impossible- to overwhelm an army lead by the wielder of this Charm, no matter how much he is outnumbered. The might of those who follow him becomes multiplicative, not additive, and they will become an unyielding force on the battlefield, leaving none to stand in their wake. Even standing by himself, the Exalt seemingly fights as many soldiers, always where he needs to be to blunt an incoming assault, or overwhelm the lines of his opponent. For the rest of the scene, generally a battle, the Exalt adds his Essence to the Magnitude of his unit for the purposes of dice pool bonuses but not for the purposes of additional health levels.

By My Will Be Done
Cost: 7m, 1wp; Mins: War 5, Essence 3; Type: Simple
Keywords: Combo-Basic, War
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: Under One Banner Prana

A mighty general need not be a mighty swordsman, if her will is great. Her legions will stream out ahead of her, and overwhelm all opposition. An Exalt who activates this Charm becomes such a master strategist, tactician, and leader that her own battle skills are irrelevant to the course of victory; instead, her strength lies in her command. As a commander in Mass Combat, or when leading at least 5 troops in normal combat, she may substitute her Charisma + War for any combat roll, including for static values like DV. The character may use relevant charms such as Dipping Swallow Defense or Seven Shadow Evasion, but all dice or success adders must be from War, such as the War Excellencies.

Masterful Communication Defense
Cost: 3m, 1wp; Mins: War 5, Essence 2; Type: Simple
Keywords: Combo-OK, War
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: Commanding the Ideal Celestial Army

The Solar’s command and coordination of his army resonates in the very blood and bone of his soldiers. They respond to his commands with admirable efficiency, and less of their attention is taken away when they perform simple or repetitive tasks. For the rest of the Scene, reduce to 0 the DV penalty of any miscellaneous action taken by the Solar’s complementary unit.

Solar Formation
Cost: 8m, 1wp; Mins: War 5, Essence 4; Type: Simple (DV –0)
Keywords: Combo-Basic, War
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: Masterful Communication Defense, General of the All-Seeing Sun

The Unconquered Sun himself taught tactics and strategy to his Chosen, and every Solar, whether Dawn or Eclipse, bears the mark of Sol Invictus’ mastery in war. Their very souls are imprinted with the perfect formation—a formation that approaches formlessness, fluid as water and as penetrating as light. When Solar Formation is active, the Solar gains a 3 mote discount on Commanding the Ideal Celestial Army, and any unit under his control counts as having the most ideal formation for whatever attack they are performing or facing. For example, if the Solar attacks one of Sesus’ Legions with his own Tiger Warriors hand-to-hand, they count as being in Close Formation for both attack and defense. If the irregulars supporting the Legions hurl javelins at the Tiger-Warriors, they will count as being in skirmish formation-- even while they are still engaged with the Legion! The Solar never suffers a penalty nor her opponents a benefit for this perfect formation, and the Solar’s unit may not become Disordered; it has a minimum Drill of 2. The unit will always have a movement multiplier of x100 when on foot.

Singular Solar Field Marshal
Cost: 10m, 1wp; Mins: War 5, Essence 4; Type: Extra Action
Keywords: Combo-OK, Obvious, War
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: General of the All-Seeing Sun, Masterful Communication Defense

When a Solar speaks, all listen. By expanding her mental communication to the point where her very spirit enlightens and empowers her soldiers, the Lawgiver may effectively control multiple units at the same time, up to a maximum of (the Solar’s War) +1. So long as all units remain within (Essence x 10) miles, the Solar may command and control each unit, granting them her stats as though she were at their helm. They may take different actions, but may not flurry; this charm effectively grants the Solar magical flurry with a Speed equal to the highest of that performed by any one unit and a DV penalty equal to the highest for any one action; the Solar’s attention is sufficiently divided that it takes considerable time and effort to coordinate the effects of all units. Any Charms that affect the Solar or the Solar’s unit affect all units (ie, Under One Banner Prana).

Gateway of Creation Mastery
Cost: 15m, 2wp; Mins: War 6, Essence 6; Type: Extra Action
Keywords: Obvious, War
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: Singular Solar Field Marshal, Ideal Battle Knowledge Prana

This Charm is named not for any entrance to Creation, but instead for the much-beloved strategy game. A Solar who invokes its use sets his mind aloft, reaching out to command and control the entire battlefield from afar. He perceives each of the units and the general area around them as though he was staring down at them from afar, with fog filling in the spaces outside of an individual unit’s sight—laying out the battlefield like a giant game of Gateway. For the rest of the scene, the Solar may activate General of the All-Seeing Sun and Commanding the Celestial Army for free, and gains the ability to completely and utterly control up to (the Solar’s Essence) +1 units at the same time, at a maximum of (Essence x10) miles from the Solar. These units operate independently, and the Solar may invest his power equally through each. Effectively, each unit under the Lawgiver’s command is given a Fully Independent Action, as per Charcoal March of Spiders Form, Scroll of the Monk p.121-122.

Formation-Wrecking Methodology
Cost: 10m, 1wp; Mins: War 5, Essence 4; Type: Simple
Keywords: Combo-Ok, War
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: General of the All-Seeing Sun

To understand the forms and formations of armies is to know their vulnerability. Even the tightest phalanx may be undone by a master strategist. By invoking the Formation-Wrecking Methodology, a superior Solar strategist can break her enemies’ ranks utterly. Until the end of the scene, no unit gains formation bonuses either for defense or offense against a unit under the Solar’s direct command. The awe-inspiring effectiveness of a Formation-Wrecking Methodology may be cause for an additional morale checks by units facing the Solar.

My Soldiers at My Side
Cost: 10m, 1wp; Mins: War 5, Essence 4; Type: Reflexive
Keywords: Combo-Ok, War
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: Any War Excellency, Heroism-Inspiring Presence

The sagacious Solar general need not ever be without the aid of his soldiers. This Charm may be invoked in response to an assassination attempt, duel, or any other situation (including mass effect Charms, spells, etc.) where the Solar would not gain the benefit of his unit. The Solar retains the full benefit of his unit, including combat ratings, magnitude, and so on. This does put the units at risk; the sympathetic energies the Solar draws upon will shed damage back upon the Lawgiver’s troops, just like any other Magnitude loss. If the Solar and his troops are being attacked simultaneously and the Solar activates My Soldiers at My Side, apply the damage first to the Solar (and thus, to the unit) via this Charm, then again to the unit.

Conquering Solar Mandate
Cost: 15m, 1wp; Mins: War 5, Essence 5; Type: Simple (DV -2)
Keywords: Combo-Ok, War, Obvious, Social, Compulsion
Duration: One Scene
Prerequisite Charms: Ideal Battle Knowledge Prana, Under One Banner Prana

With but a single word, a powerful Solar can rip command of an army away from its general, or turn a howling mob back upon a demagogue in murderous fury. The Solar concentrates upon her foe, and speaks forth-- which may be a single word or an entire speech. The Solar’s command is heard and understood by the entire target audience, and is treated as a social attack upon the leader of that unit. Instead of invoking normal Social mass combat rules, the Solar instead rolls the highest of (her War, Presence, or Performance) against the enemy commander’s MDV + 1/2 the enemy unit’s magnitude. Neither the Solar nor her target gets a bonus from their unit, whether as a social unit or military one. If the Solar succeeds, the enemy commander has one opportunity to retain control of his unit, by spending Willpower equal to the Solar’s permanent Essence.

If the enemy commander does not, or does not have sufficient Willpower to do so, the target unit is wrested from its commander’s grip and is immediately considered to have a Morale of 5 under the Solar’s command. Note that in the case of armies being lead by beloved leaders, being ordered to turn on their commander violently may constitute an unacceptable order. Calculate a Loyalty score for the Unit; the unit may attempt to disobey the Solar’s commands by spending 1 Loyalty per action. The Charm ends at the end of the scene, or when the unit has spent Loyalty equal to the Solar’s War. When the Charm ends, the unit reverts to the commander if he is still in communication, reverts to a hero in the ranks, or dissolves.

Glorious Solar Strategem
Cost: 8m, 1wp; Mins: War 5, Essence 3; Type: Simple (Speed 5 in long ticks)
Keywords: Combo-OK, Obvious, War
Duration: Instant
Prerequisite Charms: Infinite War Mastery

The Exalted greatly boosts her analytic skills, making her a master of strategy and tactics. In general, this works like an advanced version of Tactical Instinct and is compatible with it. Upon being presented with a strategic condition- playing a game of Gateway, fighting in mass combat, and so on, the Solar’s player rolls the character’s Intelligence + War. Every success so bought becomes a Strategy Die. The GM and the player should work out the nature of the strategic insight and plan.

Strategy dice can be used for two things: power and information. If they are used for power, they can be added as dice to rolls made in pursuit of the basic strategy outlined by the initial Intelligence + War roll. These dice can be donated to someone else, as long as the Solar who used the Charm can coach or plan for that individual. Strategy dice do count as dice from charms, but are limited to a maximum benefit to any individual on any one roll equal to the greater of his War or Essence, and any one person can only benefit from one application of Glorious Solar Stratagem at a time.

Strategy dice may also be used for information. In this case, each Strategy die will give information about one relative die pool of the opponent- Defense, Offense, and so on. It will not generally give information about social capabilities other than Presence unless used in a social situation.

Example: Fehim uses Glorious Solar Stratagem in a fight against the Wyld Hunt. He decides to spend one strategy die to discover the lead Huntsman’s defensive die pool. Fehim learns that the target has a Dexterity of 4, a Melee of 5, a Speciality: Sword +3, and is getting +3 successes from his troops. It’s going to be a long fight.

Turning the Rout Method
Cost: --; Mins: War 4, Essence 3; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: Rout-Stemming Gesture

Fear falls away in the glorious presence of a Solar. The radiance of one of the Unconquered Sun's Chosen can turn even those who have already fled back to their posts back in a moment. This Charm modifies its prerequisite, changing the reroll of a failed Valor roll to be automatically successful. Furthermore, Rout-Stemming Gesture can now be used to recall those who have already fled. So long as the requisite number of former troops are alive and within (the Exalt's Essence) in miles, this Charm may be used once per day per unit to heal 1 Magnitude lost to hesitation. At Essence 5, the Solar may heal unlimited Magnitude lost to hesitation, so long as the necessary troops are within range. Each healing after the first requires double cost, and can only be done every 5 long ticks

Swiftness of the Martial Weather
Cost: --; Mins: War 4, Essence 3; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: Commanding the Ideal Celestial Army

With Heaven's blessing, the ideal is never beyond reach. When the Solar acts to provide leadership for an army, she grants them one of the ideals of speed and flexibility-- that of the Aerial Legions themselves. While it requires greater knowledge of strategy and greater strength of Essence to retain such ideal power for long, the small burst of time when troops instinctively apply themselves to the will of the Solar can grant great control of tactical initiative. If the Solar uses Commanding the Ideal Celestial Army at the start of a battle or when a new unit under their command is joining an existing battle, this grants that unit bonus dice to Join Battle equal to the Essence of the Solar.

Breaking the Impertinent Rabble
Cost: --; Mins: War 4, Essence 4; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: Mob-Dispersing Rebuke

When petty rabble dare to stand against the absolute authority of a Lawgiver, Heaven decrees that they shall breaik and flee. This Charm increases the efficacy of Mob-Dispersing Rebuke. Instead of directly comparing the Solar's Essence to the unit's Magnitude, the difficulty for the rout check is (War + Essence + 1- Magnitude)/2, round up, minimum 1.

Discipline of Passion
Cost: --; Mins: War 5, Essence 4; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: Fury-Inciting Presence

The raw passion and drive of a Solar can not only unite a mob into a coherent unit, it can grant unity of purpose and discipline to even a legion of beggars. When using Fury-Inciting Presence, the unit formed is given a Drill equal to (the Exalt's Essence)/2, round up, unless the members would for some reason naturally have a higher Drill. The unit also begins in any formation of the Exalt's choosing that they have sufficient Drill for.

Omniscient Solar Field-Marshal
Cost: --; Mins: War 5, Essence 5; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: General of the All-Seeing Sun

In the instant that a perceptive Solar warlord perceives the battlefield with General of the All-Seeing Sun, a strong Essence can gain perception into even the disposition of those arrayed against him. When using General of the All-Seeing Sun, the character now perceives the position, status, and allegiance of all units within range. In the case of enemy or neutral units, if they are attempting to conceal their presence or allegiance, the character will not perceive them, or only perceive putative allegiance. At Essence 6+, the character will gain the option of a reflexive Perception + War roll against relevant concealment (either of position or allegiance) with a bonus to the Solar's roll in dice equal to the unit's Magnitude.

Inspiration-Reaping the Harvest of Generosity
Cost: --; Mins: War 5, Essence 3; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: Heroism-Encouraging Presence

The generosity of a Solar general is repaid in turn as the devotion of the soldiers behind her can inspire in turn even one of Heaven's champions to strive beyond their best. When leading a unit under the effects of Heroism-Encouraging Presence, the Solar may use Morale as extra Valor channels. When using Morale Valor channels, however, the Solar may only gain a number of dice equal to her Morale. At Essence 5, the Solar may use her own Valor if it is higher.

Logistical Mastery Meditation
Cost: --; Mins: War 6, Essence 6; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: Ideal Battle-Knowledge Prana

The Lawgiver's connection to his troops, instantly granting them instinctive drive to carry out the Solar will, may now be tapped to marshal all of the living essence patterns of those same troops into a unified whole. As the Solar takes righteous command, he invests the power of Solar military mastery over the armies that the Solar commands. Whenever Ideal Battle-Knowledge Prana is active, reduce the cost of any War Charm concerning Drill, Relays, or Might by (Solar's Essence) in motes, minimum 1 mote.

Peerless Puissance Pedagogy
Cost: --; Mins: War 5, Essence 5; Type: Permanent
Keywords: None
Prerequisite Charms: Legendary Warrior Curriculum

The Solar's capability to train warriors en masse allows her to turn ordinary peasants into legendary swordsmasters, mere guttersnipes into whirling killers on the streets, and can even raise mere children to the ranks of unstoppable soldiers. When using Tiger Warrior Training, the Solar may now raise the traits of trainees to equal her own or the highest possible for the trainee, whichever is less. This applies to traits learned by Tiger Warrior Training normally or enhanced by Legendary Warrior Curriculum.
