Note

All of these charms are made to be used with an instrument.

Note of the Virtuous

Cost: 3 motes
Duration: until the end of the scene
Type: simple
Min. Performance: 2
Min Essence: 2
Prereqs: None

By playing this divine note on any instrument the Exalt has learned to play, the listeners temporarily gain enlightenment and confidence. All allies within the performer's Essence x 10 yards will not fail their next virtue roll, as long as it happens during the scene in which the performer has used the charm.

Chord of the Mighty

Cost: 2 motes/die
Duration: instant
Type: reflexive
Min. Performance: 3
Min Essence: 2
Prereqs: Note of the Virtuous

When playing this chord, the Exalt sings the name of one of his allies. The combination is so filled with the sound of victory that the ally's next attack is particularly successful. The performer may add up to his dexterity + performance in dice to a chosen ally's next attack roll.

Unscathed Melody

Cost: 5 motes
Duration: scene
Type: simple
Min. Performance: 3
Min Essence: 3
Prereqs: Note of the virtuous

This simple arrangement of notes brings saftety and assurance to the weak as the Exalt sings the name of an ally above the melody. The performer chooses an ally, and increases the ally's bashing soak by the performer's performance, and the ally's lethal soak by the performer's Essence.

Harmonic Inevitability

Cost: 4 motes
Duration: instant
Type: simple
Min. Performance: 4
Min Essence: 3
Prereqs: Note of the Virtuous, Chord of the Mighty

The performer sings of the victory that will surely be granted, even before it is won. He sings of the sure aim of one of his allies, and the sound inevitably pierces the heart of whoever stands against him. The performer chooses an ally, and the ally's next attack cannot be blocked, only dodged. (If the ally's next attack is something like Cascade of Cutting Terror, which can be blocked but not dodged, the performer's song has been wasted and the attacker's charm has dominance.)

Duet of Evasion

Cost: 2 motes/die
Duration: instant
Type: reflexive
Min. Performance: 4
Min Essence: 3
Prereqs: Note of the Virtuous, Unscathed Melody

As the Exalt plays and sings for one of his allies, the ally cannot help but move to the music. The performer may add up to his dexterity + performance in die to a chosen ally's next dodge.

Victorious Operetta

Cost:6 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: scene
Type: simple
Min. Performance: 5
Min Essence: 4
Prereqs: Chord of the Mighty, Unscathed Melody

The battle that rages plays out in front of the Exalt as if it were a small musical, and he is sure in its outcome. The performer rolls his performance; tens do not count as two successes. Each success is a die added to the rolls of all allies within his Essence x10 yards, and a die subtracted from the rolls of all enemies in the same area.

Brilliant Solar Opus

Cost: 10 motes, 1 willpower
Duration: scene
Type: simple
Min. Performance: 5
Min Essence: 5
Prereqs: Victorious Operetta, Duet of Evasion, Harmonic Inevitability

The battle is the Exalt's greatest masterpiece, falling to the ebb and flow of the music he plays. He controls it, but is not a part of it. The power of his song deflects any blow that comes against him. On every turn he activates one of the charms in this tree, he is given a free full, reflexive parry against any attack using his dexterity + performance pool, and his enemies must succeed on a conviction check, difficulty 1, to even attempt to strike him.
