Home Is Where Your Blood Is

Living Vessel Meditation
Cost: 6 motes, 1+ willpower, 1+ Health Levels
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Charisma
The Lunar's blood holds their power, and with their connection to it, they can shift their shape. With Living Vessel Meditation, the Exalt bleeds himself over a vessel, such as a ship or a wagon, and lets his blood sink within it, soaking its very structure. The Lunar needs to bleed 1 Health Level for ships or wagons, 2 Health Levels for frigates and flagships, and 3 Health Levels for First Age Warships and Airships. Those Health Levels are committed for the duration. From then on, the vessel becomes as part of the Lunar's body. This has several effects.

  • The Lunar receives a three-die bonus to all actions in the vessel, as a kind of specialty that does not counts for dice-adding limits.
  • The Lunar may reflexively spend 1 mote to control the vessel as part of his body, moving it on its own volition, moving doors and other props.
  • The Lunar has a general feel of what goes within the vessel at all times if he is anywhere within (His permanent Essence x100 miles), and always knows its direction if they are still on the same plane of existence(Creation, the Underworld, the Wyld or Heaven). This General feel can only tell the Lunar of general activities taking place within it, a party, conversation, sparring or sex, but no details or words, only feeling. One who wishes to do something undetected within has to beat the Lunar's Perception+Awareness as if he was around, and receive an extra difficulty equal to the Lunar's Compassion.

Sharing Divinity's Blood
Cost: None
Duration: Permanent
Type: Special
Minimum Charisma: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Living Vessel Meditation
This Charm greatly increases the Lunar's connection with the Living Vessel. With this Charm, the Vessel becomes as part of the Lunar's own body for the purposes of Charms such as Shaping the Ideal Form - and he can use that charm to make any sort of cosmetic changes, and to prepare the vessel for specific conditions to receive its bonuses, as well as use Charms that increase Soak, Heal or Regenerate to grant its benefits to the Vessel. The Lunar is also able to increase his sense of the Vessel - not simply to it insides, but to its outside now, paying 3 motes to create appendages on the vessel that can carry his own senses, able to create eyes to see and ears to hear outside of the vessel even if he is as far from it as (His permanent Essence x100 miles).

Patching the Surrogate Body
Cost: 10 motes, 1 Health Level
Duration: One Scene
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 4
Minimum Essence: 4
Prerequisite Charms: Living Vessel Meditation
Sometimes, a vessel is rent by the elements or attacks from enemies, and even if the Lunars feels it as if it was his own body, he can do little to he knows it will break, becoming unable to move, sinking or falling from sky. As a last-ditch resort, the Lunar activates this Charm, and tendons of ivory and essence move around the vessel, patching any and all holes, and keeping it whole for as long as it is needed for repairs. For the remainder of the scene, as long as this Charm is mantained, nothing short of the vessel's near total destruction will make it stop, and it will continue moving as if unscathed.

Living Palace Meditation
Cost: 4 motes, 1+ willpower, 1+ Health Levels
Duration: Indefinite
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 4
Minimum Essence: 3
Prerequisite Charms: Ascendant Charisma
The Lunar's blood holds their power, and with their connection to it, they can shift their shape. The Lunar needs to bleed 1 Health Level for houses, 2 Health Levels for greater buildings and towers, and 3 Health Levels for Palaces. Manses may not be bounded with in such a way, and those Health Levels are committed for the duration. From then on, the structure becomes as part of the Lunar's body. This has several effects.

  • The Lunar receives a three-die bonus to all actions in the palace, as a kind of specialty that does not counts for dice-adding limits.
  • The Lunar may reflexively spend 1 mote to control the vessel as part of his body, opening and closing doors and moving props.
  • The palace is counted as part of the Lunar's body for the purposes of the Charm Shaping the Ideal Form.
  • The Lunar has a general feel of what goes within the palace at all times if he is anywhere within (His permanent Essence x100 miles), and always knows its direction if they are still on the same plane of existence(Creation, the Underworld, the Wyld or Heaven).

The Living Palace can stop anywhere that has enough space for it, and the area around it will subtly shifts, and for all onlookers, it is as if the Living Palace was always there, merging seamlessly with the terrain, no matter how improbable. Only supernatural investigative powers can uncover the fact it has just arrived. As long as the Lunar has the motes committed, he can order it to raise at any time.

Igniting the Spirit Spark
Cost: 20 motes, 2 willpower, 10 Experience Points
Duration: Permanent
Type: Simple
Minimum Charisma: 5
Minimum Essence: 5
Prerequisite Charms: Living Palace Meditation, Living Vessel Meditation
The Living Vessel has part of the Lunar's Blood, of the Lunar's Soul. Using this Charm, the Lunar sits amidst it, infusing it with his essence, his blood, calling for Luna's might, igniting it with his Essence... and creating life. A soul. From the moment this Charm is used onwards, the Vessel or Palace becomes a living creature on its own right, 'awakening' to the world. The Lunar remains attunned to it - the awakened vessel is a Familiar *****(and allows the Lunar to possess more than one Familiar, his normal, living one and a Palace and a Vessel) with many unique characteristics:

  • This Familiar has a personality that is usually based on the Lunar that ignites life within it, or at least to his fears and desires, but modified to suit its own style and construction(A leisure palace and a grim warship will be totally different in personality and traits, even having the same creator)
  • It distributes 20 points of abilities between various abilities it may know(Such as Presence, Sail or Socialize).
  • It may make all the minute changes and movements the Lunar could, as if it knew the Living Palace and Living Vessel Meditation.
  • It has no physical attributes, but it has Social and Mental attributes, Which begin at 2 and have (Its Creator's Essence x3) in dots to distribute. It may be destroyed in the same way it usually could be destroyed, but it can now resist certain effects with Endurance or Resistance as if it was alive - for some purposes, assume it has Strength, Dexterity of Stamina equal to the Essence of its Creator.
  • It may use Charms - it has an Essence Pool of (Its Creator's Essence x5), and knows a number of Charms equal to the Lunar's Essence - most of them have Shaping the Ideal Form to change their own style and details.
  • Finally, the Lunar may use this Charm on a willing, dying being on an un-'Awakened' vessel, allowing it to awaken with the being's soul, who lives on as the Familiar, with all his memories and skills preserved. At the Storyteller's discretion, some types of magical beings may even keep a few of their magical powers or Charms they can use as the Vessel.
