History: During her childhood among the trees of the East, Valeska Leaf Whisper was teased, and perhaps even feared for having strange skin. It had the same golden tan as theirs did, but it was also burnished with a peculiar silver sheen that almost glowed when she was not under direct and strong light. The children in her village taunted her, saying she was the child of a tree spirit; an ash, or perhaps an elm. In order to stop their hurtful words, Valeska took to punching them as hard and as fast as she could, before shimmying up a tree, and out of their reach. She wasn’t particularly good at the punching part, but she was very good at climbing, which only made her reputation as half-tree spirit even stronger.

Eventually her limbs grew from gangly to willowy, her eyes from enormous and strange, to merely large and exotic. She began developing curves, and a gentle sway in her walk that the boys could not ignore. So their teasing turned into something more amorous, and soon they began to get into fights over who could climb her favourite tree and try to sit with her. Try was the operative word, for she had not forgiven her fellow adolescents for their taunting ways, and often a youth’s stammered words of admiration earned him a smack in the face, which usually sent him tumbling out of the top branches.

Exasperated and not a little concerned, Valeska’s parents decided to send her away to a military academy, where she could put her violent tendencies to some use, and hopefully become more calm and centred. She made the pre-requisite grumblings, and threw the right number of tantrums, while deep inside she was overjoyed at this chance to see the world, and perhaps become a soldier in the armies of one of the Solar Gods!

She passed her examinations, and leapt into academy life with gusto. Of course there were still the occasional conflicts involving the attention her unusual and beautiful form earned her, but they became less violent as the years went by. She took to returning some of the attention, and began to explore the world of the sensual, as well as the myriad worlds she had begun to venture into during this exciting period of her life.

Valeska showed a spark of leadership, and although she was not particularly intimidating (anymore), she displayed a rare and welcome ability to earn the respect and loyalty of her peers with her fun-loving and slightly cheeky personality. She was given a small group of younger students to train, and upon her graduation, she was called to serve as an officer in the army of the Zenith God Irascible Taipan. There she made the decision to stay a minor Officer for a time, building her subordinate’s trust and loyalty.

Instead, she received a far better and more impressive promotion than she had ever expected. In the midst of conflict with overwhelming numbers of Rebel foot soldiers and cavalry, Valeska Leaf Whisper was exalted by the Unconquered Sun as she slaughtered those in her path. She was able to hold back the attackers long enough for reinforcements to arrive.

Wondrous Armour, Weapons and other Artifacts were made for her over the next six months as she proved herself worthy of the Sun’s blessing time and again. She became even more popular with the soldiers, even those who had not served under her. Her name became a rallying cry as Irascible Taipan’s forces fought to defend the Solar’s place in Creation. She earned the attentions of a handsome and powerful Lunar, Blinding Strike, who had not yet found a Mate. He began to woo her in a strange and deadly dance, such as the steps and pirouettes that scorpions make; pincers clasped, and stingers poised to lash out should the opportunity present itself.

Storm on the Horizon had chosen her to be one of those hidden away, should the need arise, for she was a good leader, skilled in battle, and possessed many of the noble qualities that he prized in his fellow demi-gods.

When calamity struck, and Blinding Strike was killed as the Sidereal’s pawns closed the trap upon the Solars, Valeska was barely able to flee, heading to her beloved teacher and mentor’s manse, where he had told her of his plans to hide before they were likewise slaughtered….

Description: Valeska is a powerfully beautiful woman; tall and athletic, with long well muscled legs, and incredibly defined abdominal muscles. She walks like a dancer, and as she moves her skin glistens slightly, shining with a strange silvery sheen that glosses her otherwise tanned skin. Her hair is a wonderful emerald, with darker olive tones near the base of her skull. It is cropped short, but nonetheless bounces and moves softly as she moves. Her eyes are large, exotically tilted upwards on the outer sides, and a smoky grey flecked with gold and green. Her mouth is well formed and shapely, but is not decadently full. It is often curled in a friendly or cheeky smile, but is equally as often opened to emit a loud and echoing battle cry.
