Also called the Bleak Sleeper in Chains, The Tsaritsa Somnolent in Her Barren Dreams and Visions is a towering presence, a queen clad in funerary linens, a shroud across her motionless face. Ornaments of orichalcum and moonsilver rest across her large frame, with a soulsteel crown crafted from the thirteen most devoted disciples of the Void completing the image of a resting queen. She lies on a cold, eight-foot soulsteel slab in the midst of her citadel, as living soulsteel chains writhe and drape across her frame like serpents. There seems to be a countless number of these chains, acting as the Tsaritsa's hands, pierced through the plasm of her ghostly servants. None have gotten close enough to her body to check what's beneath her shroud and not even her most trusted Abyssal servants has seen her move from her location. All contact from the Tsaritsa takes place from one of her ghostly servitor's puppeted mouths, or direct mind-to-mind contact. Any such contact inevitably leaves the contactee with a deep and total feeling of violation.

Resting at the Tsaritsa's feet is a giant barghest, twelve-feet long with soulsteel chains wrapped around its huge neck. a swath of scars covers this barghest's back and face, and one of its eyes has been completely gouged away, leaving only a dank pit of darkness behind. The living chains of the Tsaritsa seem to revel in the barghest's situation as they are its chief abusers, keeping the monstrosity just strong enough to try escaping. Yet whenever it tries, the chains make short work of it and drag it back to the Tsaritsa's feet.

The Tsaritsa is in almost constant communication with her Malfean masters, having long since given up on her fellow Deathlords as precisely the arrogant, worthless, ambitious-without-thought lords and ladies they are, who forget the end goal of Oblivion in favor of their own precious games and diplomacy. Aside from the destitute spirts of the Hundred Darkened Clouds and her Abyssal servants, the Tsaritsa refuses to even bother communicating to anyone but the Malfeans. This single-minded vision is what guides the Tsaritsa Somnolent's hand across the North, seeking the absolute and total destruction of all that stands in her way.

The Crown of Lethe's Rejection\\ Still Under Work

The Hundred Darkened Clouds

If one were to walk northwest of Diamond Hearth, just before the ground would drop away and you would plummet to your doom, you would notice a horrible black sky on the horizon, that seems to stretch for miles. Bleak purple-black clouds, like that of a deep and painful bruise that seemed to be full of nothing but rainfall, thunder and lightning would attack the eyes. This is the Hundred Darkened Clouds.

Discovered by the Tsaritsa's servants after Bagrash Kol fell to the power of the Eye of Autochthon, the Hundred Darkened Clouds were an outpost of his flying kingdom, having drifted away to the Northwest, floating on the edge of Creation. Thousands lived there, but without power of the Eye, countless of them died in a famine of epic proportions. Before long, the only inhabitants were ghosts and their living descendents, who had had to resort to cannibalism in order to survive. Soon, the entire city had turned into a floating shadowland, the perfect spot for the Tsaritsa's plans. Transporting herself from the Underworld to the central palace of the Hundred Darkened Clouds (its true name long since forgotten by its few feral, barbarian residents), she has summarily ceased caring about even the seeming of humanity.

The Hundred Darkened Clouds, once a sterling example of technological innovation and savant leadership, is little more than a wasteland of a city. The Tsaritsa's ghostly servitors all serve her and her desires, the living chains having subsumed all of their original personality. The few living cannibals of the Hundred Darkened Clouds breed amongst themselves, and eat any individual who falls behind. Soon, even this horrible reminder of the failed kingdom of Bagrash Kol will die, leaving only the Tsaritsa and her Abyssal servants.

The Tsaritsa Somnolent in Her Barren Dreams and Visions' Schemes

The Tsaritsa has countless plans, all to the express and distinct function of killing Creation in a fell swoop. Deals with Lunar barbarians, the Fair Folk, the demons of Malfeas and on occasion, even her fellow Deathlords are all in the mix. The Tsaritsa intends to eventually betray and murder anything that helps her get her way, as she cannot stand anything survivng, even if it is in service to her. If the Tsaritsa is to ever consider her plan successful, everything, from Heaven to Hell, will have to be decimated, destroyed and subjected to Oblivion.

This includes any of her servants, her masters, and anything that isn't completely and fully dead for eternity, forever and ever.
