| − | The Steward's motions are faster than the eye, and misdirection opens fatal weakness. When the character attacks an opponent, he compares a static total of his [Dex+Athletics or Stealth+Essence]/2 - augmented by anything that affects that pool or total - against his opponent's Dodge MDV. The opponent's Dodge DV is reduced by the difference, but cannot be reduced below their Perception. The difference is checked only the first time a given target is attacked [allowing a single use of an Integrity excellency, virtue channel, or other MDV-adder to dramatically reduce its' impact], or if they raise their Dodge MDV afterwards.
