The Soul Veiled Serpent of Ebon Might and Crimson Cloth

The foremost servant of the Avaricious Devourer, the soulsteel serpent has worked deep within the Labyrinth, His agents spread thin in preparation for his mighty plan to secure creation for the Malfeans, and set his master finally free: Not seen in the underworld for Centuries, he is almost forgotten by his brothers, whom have seen him but once since the great contagion, when the Deathlords met to capture the souls of the Fallen Solars: Unbeknownst to them, the idea was his. He is now the foremost master of the Necromantic arts in existence, and his armouries are filled with weapons and equipment, forged by his followers from captured souls: packs of hungry ghosts go where he will, and a handful of nephwracks glory in his service. The time is ripe, his plans close to fruition: He now prepares to return to the Underworld, and demonstrate the worth of eight centuries of constant study of the secrets of the Void. Standing perhaps six feet high, his form is thin, and little of it can be seen: his flesh is almost entirely hidden by tight red silks, further covered in a shimmering, delicate veil of soulsteel chain, each link engraved with almost microscopic runes: a veil of the same material covers the upper part of his face, and only a pair of glowing red eyes can be seen through it. Of this covering, there are but two places where his flesh can be seen: his lower jaw, and his fingertips… both of which are rotted and decayed, showing the bleached bone beneath. His mouth, too, is subtly... wrong: what little can be seen of the joint hinges.. oddly, and his canines protrude in a very snakelike fashion.

Of course, he is quite, quite mad. One of the Architects of the Realm's defences in life, he was betrayed by those soldiers he saw fit to protect him, in his latter years, from those whom would steal his secrets: Thus, he reasons, one cannot trust the living mind, for it will ultimatly betray you. Instead, he trusts artifacts of great power, and cunning design: and, to be true, his grasp of such technologies is beyond compare; so, too, due to his centuries deep in the labyrinth, is his knowledge of that dark place, and in those necromantic arts relating to its manipulation, or the raw powers of oblivion itself, he has no equal.
He no longer grasps the power of the living mind, of mortal man, and thus he discounts their prowess at warcraft; only the exalted, he believes, have a hope of defeating his mechanical army. Of course, this assumes he can keep his Deathknights under control, and actually finish it.

The primary published style he uses is that of the Charcoal March of spiders: He knows 2 that were custom-made for him in the days when he was a solar lord, that I'll detail one day when I've had more sleep.

Lore: Devestating charms to project pure oblivion energy, for offence and defence. Primarily Plotdevicium powers.

Bureacracy: Further charms granting him awareness of the intent of all his agents, and how well they are proceeding at an assigned task, and for creating a primitive Hive-mind between ghosts that have succumbed to the whispers of oblivion, with himself as the master node.

Equipment:
The Soulsteel robes of Whispered Maleficience: Flowing, sinuous robes of the finest soulstee lchain, each individual ink engraved with a prayer to the malfeans whose dreams govern the Labyrinth: Each link beaten from a different soul, who knew naught but how to worship those long dead gods. The robes themselves weigh nothing, and seem to hold a darkness within them: And those who linger in theuir vicinity seem to hear a faint whispering, that they can never place. The robes have several useful effects, of course. Firstly, although they do not count as armour, the robes dissipate energies that strike them int ooblivion: This provides a powerful resistance to harm, for whosoever wears them. Secondly, the robes grant continual access to the Whisper's background: He who wears them has his every thought at the malfean's beck and call. However, this does have a fringe benefit: While it might drive you quite mad, it adds 4 to any 'Whispers' background the wearer may possess, and removes the willpower expenditure required to use the whispers. There is one final benefit to wearing the robes: Or drawback, depending on your perspective. They carry the whispers of the Malfeans within them: Any ghost wh posp[ends substantial time in the Wearer's presence is gaurunteed to be infected by the Whispers of oblivion, and begin the long slow fall towards serving the Void.
