Solar Hero Style Kung Fu (E2, pg. 242 - 244)

This is a Celestial Martial Arts Style updated for the MartialArtsKatas system.

Note that Solars may purchase this either as a Martial Arts style, or as actual Brawl Charms. Purchasing these as Brawl Charms is required for them to serve as prerequisites for the other Brawl Charms on pg. 190; purchasing these as Martial Arts Katas is necessary for them to gain the bonuses from Initiation styles and from in-Form Katas. However, if a Solar learns the Charm version of one of these Katas, learning the equivalent Kata costs only 1 XP, and vice-versa. The Solar must still match the necessary Kata prerequisites for new Katas, or the necessary Charm prerequisites for new Charms.

Additionally, the 'Solar Hero Form' Charm is called 'Solar Fist Discipline', and works as explained in SolarBrawl/Ialdabaoth.

Prerequisites

  • Abilities required to reach Form: Brawl 4
  • Abilities required to reach Mastery: Brawl 5

Katas

Fists of Iron Technique

 - Brawl 2, Essence 1

Sledgehammer Fist Punch

 - Brawl 3, Essence 2

Dragon Coil Technique

 - Brawl 3, Essence 2

Solar Hero Form

 - Brawl 4, Essence 2

Heaven Thunder Hammer

 - Brawl 4, Essence 2

Crashing Wave Throw

 - Brawl 5, Athletics 3, Essence 3

This Kata multiplies the Martial Artist's (Strength + Athletics) pool by his Essence for the purposes of calculating whether he can throw a clinched person, and how far.

Ox-Stunning Blow

 - Brawl 4, Essence 2

Hammer on Iron Technique

 - Brawl 4, Essence 2

Shockwave Technique

 - Thrown 5, Athletics 5, Essence 3

This Kata allows the Martial Artist to complete a Brawl attack against a target by throwing him at another target. The initial attack must be successful, in which case this Kata acts as a Thrown counterattack against a second opponent. Multiply the Martial Artist's (Strength + Athletics) pool by his Essence for the purposes of calculating how far he can throw a person. The second attack is resolved as if the thrown person was a weapon with an Accuracy of -3 and a Damage of +4B.
