Just strength and speed enhancements are not all that the lunars can use their protean nature for.  They can shift their looks, tap into certain instincts and use posture, smells and tones to all enhance other aspects of their bodies to make them better looking, more charming and better able to twist others around their fingers.

When a lunar uses this charm he receives a number of additional points to spend on his Social Attributes equal to his essence.  A lunar can not more then double an attribute with this charm and points spent to increase appearance work on a one for two method.  Each point spent there increases their appearance rating by two.  If an attribute is raised above 5 by use of this charm then on any roll the lunar gets an amount of additional successes equal to the amount it exceeds 5 by to any roll involving that attribute on top of just having a bigger pool.  These attributes are considered natural for charms that have limits based on attributes.

By adopting the attitude of a submissive person, the Lunar creates the illusion that her presence is not important and that he belongs to the place as some kind of servant or slave.  The lunar is beneath notice and people will neither note his presence nor remember him having been there. If nobody at all should be in the place, the Lunar is noticed, and if the Lunar breaks the submissive attitude by his actions, the illusion is broken. This charm is especially useful to infiltrate a place where a lot of people go by.

A person’s look and appearance can change the entire feeling in a group.  Using this trick the lunar assumes a posture and stance which bothers everyone nearby. This is not a visual illusion, but creates a subconscious belief of some kind of threat is looming.  Since this is all subconscious the person doesn’t even know how they are feeling.  This increased paranoia has a twofold effect.  First, even though they are worried about some sort of threat they tend to dismiss there feelings and thus are less able to detect threats around them.  This means a +1 difficulty to any rolls they may make to detect stealth.  Second they become distrustful.  Any social interactions besides threats are made at an additional difficulty of the lunar’s essence.

Lunars have an animal allure to them.  A primal feeling of sexuality that reaches to the core of people.  A lunar with this charm strengthens that feeling and exudes it around her, drawing people to her like moths to a flame.

All those near the lunar must make Temperance rolls at a standard difficulty.  Should they fail they become attracted to and infatuated with the lunar.  She seems like the ideal partner to want and be with.  Should the lunar choose to do so she automatically can seduce anyone who failed their roll.

Alternatively a lunar can concentrate this feeling on one person.  This is harder to resist as it draws out the person’s instinctual mating urges.  In an extended opposed roll the lunar rolls essence and the target rolls temperance.  If the lunar accumulates 5 successes then the target is seduced.  Their coupling will produce children if possible unless the target or user immediately takes some action to stop pregnancy within a day.  New doses of anti-pregnancy drugs must be taken.  Ones already in effect will fail.  This charm works cross species and should a human and animal form lunar have sex beastchildren will result.

Should the target gain 5 successes first then he remains in control, but is still favourably inclined to the lunar.  He is at a +1 penalty to resist the lunar in social rolls.  Acts of violence ruin this charm.

This charm is a favourite of lunars who have territory away from the wyld and seek beastchildren, or those who want to be with someone but due to differences normal seduction methods would fail, such as a lunar desiring a civilised person.

The bond between a solar and lunar mate is a special thing, unique and wonderful and as increadible as an eclipse.  They show a unity of Heavenly power.  More then that there is powerful love between them and such feelings can not help but be felt by a partner and reassure them in all things.

When a lunar who is mated to the solar spends the night with him she may roll her compassion.  Each success adds an additional regained point of temporary willpower on top of whatever her conviction roll gives her.  A character can not raise her willpower pool above its normal limits with this charm.

With a cherubic face and a friendly look she tells someone something and is believed.  Its not that what she told them was implausable, no what she said was perfectly reasonable, which is why it is believed.  The lunar when she uses this charm and makes a statement or lie is believed.  She is believed so long as what she says is reasonable and believeable.  A lunar dressed as a city gaurd who goes to replace a gaurd at a gate and tells him she is taking over and he is off duty, well thats pretty reasonable and so is believed.  A lunar, dressed in the furs of a barbarian tribe, claiming to be the Emissary will not be believed.  It is ultimately up to the ST as to wether the person being lied to finds it to be a reasonable lie.  If unreasonable, resolve with rolls as normal.

This charm was first developed in the First Age.  The Lunar's had spent at centuries being spouses and consorts for the solars and over time naturally figured out how to duplicate that relationship with anyone as a further development of their deceptive powers.

The lunar chooses someone they have seen before in their life, and is currently alive.  Her body undergoes a few minor alterations as this charm takes hold and to those who interact with her she seems to be either the consort or the mate of the person she has chosen.  Even the person chosen will believe it, just accepting the idea that this person is his wife or consort, the fact that he or she has possibly never met that person before not even registering until the charm is dropped. If the lunar does not act like a normal consort or wife/husband of that culture those who have met her will grow suspicious however and suspect something is wrong about the character.  This charm does not deceive someone who has greater essence then the lunar.  Those of equal essence cfeel something being not quite right and see through the charms effects by making an Intelligence + Investigation roll at a difficulty equal to the lunar's essence.

The lunars are gifted masters of the natural abilities of the body.  They are also blessed with a fluid changing mind to match their protean forms.  Animals think in ways alien to how humans do, even sentient animals just comprehend things and think in fundamentally different ways from humans.  A lunar can use this advantage to look at problems in new and novel ways.  Anytime a lunar must make an intelligence roll she may convert up to her Intelligence in dice into successes at a cost of 2 motes per die converted.

Lunars are creatures of instinct it is true but all creatures even animals learn things beyond what instinct provides.  Still a skilled lunar knows how to harness instinct to the mind to aid in the learning of anything.  Human are gifted in that they can have an instinctual gift for any skill, as is seen by how some certain fate blessed mortals or exalted pick up certain talents.  When a lunar uses this charm on a chosen group of people hey may choose a skill or an attribute.  Those training in that skill reduce the time unit it takes to train that by one.  Months becomes weeks, weeks become days and days become hours.  Unlike many training charms and spells the lunar need not have that ability at higher levels then those being trained or even have it at all.  Their own harnessed instincts provide the help they need.  This charm does not eliminate the times 2 time penalty for training without a teacher however so its best used when the lunar can combine it with training from herself or another teacher.  The duration for this charm is as long as it takes for everyone under its effects to finish training that ability or attribute up one dot.  If the Lunar willingly ends it earlier any of those who haven't finished training up the skill must complete the full training, with however much time they have spent so far counting towards their normal training.

With this charm a lunar can focus his attention on a single social group and try to divine who is above who.  This works as good on animals to find the alpha of a wolf pack for example as in a king's court to see the breakdown of power and influence.  This charm will not tell a lunar why someone is above another just they are.  It can also tell how much control the one above has on the one below.  If amongst the observed group there are people that are above them within it that are not present the lunar will be able to sense who that person is.  Even amongst more or less equal groups of partnerships such as some solar circles this charm will still function and tell a lunar who for whatever reason has the most sway in the group and who has the least and so on.

This charm was originally used to find out the corrupt amongst a solar's entourage.  The ones that had been bought or blackmailed to be under the sway of another.  In its time it has also been used to infiltrate and understand criminal groups which when used within this charm can be of use to help find the hidden masters or to help a lunar avoid those others also infiltrating it since they would have clearly different superiors then any criminal.

This charm is ineffective at understanding those of greater essence then the lunar as to them the lunar is their lesser.

A lunar with this charm can survey the landscape in a moment and within his brain a natural and instinctual understanding of how to use the land against his enemy springs to him allowing him to direct his armies with deadly results.  This was a charm used before when the Lunars would lead armies for the solars.  For a time it fell from favor but since the Lunars have taken barbarian hordes for their armies it is again seeing use.

When using this charm the Lunar grants another Order type for his armies when using M&S rules.  While the troops appear to be in a Relaxed Order they instead at the lunar's direction maximize the use of terrain to benifit far more then that permits.  They get double Hand-to-Hand Skill, double shield and cover bonuses and add an additional +3 difficulty to an attackers archery and missile attacks.  Should the lunar using this charm be slain the unit immidiently falls into an Unordered Order and must immidiently check for Rout and Morale at +1 difficulty.  Only if the lunar is the one leading the unit may this charm be used.

In nature there are many creatues that for the good of their unit will die or have a hierarchy set up so that there is no conflict between the ruled and the rulers.  Emulating this and sending his essence and mind to partly subsume those under his command a lunar can vastly improve his units fighting control.  In the first age a lunar would use this charm to enhance the trained militia when units of Tiger Warriors or Blooded were not available.  It did not see much use given the level of training most armies had and that the Solars had greater and more powerful charms for leading armies but in the second age with lunars leading barbarians it has become far more effective.

For every 2 motes a lunar spends the unit gains one dot of Drill to a maximum number of additional dots of either the lunars essence or 5, whichever is lower.  The lunar leading the army must be the one using this charm.

A lunar is allready able to better understand the animal mind and movements then any other exalted.  With this charm such a harmony can be obtained that a lunar is the perfect rider of a steed.  While this charm is active the lunar ignores the dice restriction of a riders Ride score and adds his essence to any ride rolls with a steed.

With a subtle manipulation of her bodies makeup a lunar can literally make her touch addictive.  Her presence and touch are pleasing regardless of wether the charm works or not but people must make a Willpower roll at a difficulty of the lunar's appearance.  Success means they shake off the effects of the drug and are immune to this charms working for a full month.  Failure means they desire to keep her close at hand, finding themselves distracted if she is not and suffering a +1 difficulty to all rolls while she is gone.  If a lunar can keep herself in their presence for a number of days equal to their essence(and they get a new Willpower roll each day) then they become fully addicted.  They are at +3 difficulty to all rolls when she is away and when apart always wants her at hand.  They are also so in their thrall now that they will do whatever she wants so long as it is not obviously suicidal.

Comments
Gilded Silver Tongue looks pretty freeform in nature.  Not that I mind - I like freeform - but in a game as crunchy as Exalted, perhaps it should have slightly clearer parameters on what should be acceptable as a reasonable lie, such as a borderline case or two. - Quendalon

:The problem is a reasonable lie changes depending on who you are talking with, which makes it very hard to give some crunch for it.  I leave it to reason.  The ST is the final arbiter of what an NPC considers a reasonable lie. -BogMod

Mate Assuring Presence is really cool, but I think it's a bit beefy, especially because it's got very easy prerequisites. I'm altering it slightly in my game to rolling the Lunar mate's compassion with the Solar's conviction. It still reflects a profound impact on the Solar's life, without giving him/her a potential free FIVE willpower every morning. - Tardach

:Have you used it at all?  If so how has it worked in your games?  -BogMod

::Changed as per your recommend.  -BogMod

Haven't actually had a chance to playtest Mate Assuring Presence yet. Hope to soon. Also hope to playtest the M&S charms in the next couple weeks. I think they'll have a profound impact on the combat, but it makes sense that a horde led by Lunars wouldn't necessarily just be owned by a drilled and ordered army. You rule. This shit rocks. - Tardach

:I have also put up my list of charm edits for lunars at BogMod/LunarCharmEdits.  You should give them a look over and any feedback on your playtesting of these charms I would love to hear about. -BogMod
