The lunar's body can now reflexively work to block and move aside any attack at her. Anytime a blow is about to land the lunar's body hardens like moonsilver under the blow to shield her body from the blow and then after the attack is finished returns to normal flesh.

With this charm up a lunar reduces the successes of any attack against her by a number equal to her essence to a minimum of 1. Apply this subtraction to an attack roll before other charms and defenses are used. A lunar can not have this charm and Limb-Shielding Growth up at the same time.

Armor-Sealing Method

Cost: 6m, 1wp

Duration: One scene

Type: Simple

Minimum Stamina: 3

Minimum Essence: 3

Prerequisite Charms: Armor-Forming Technique

The lunar strengthens her form with the essence of survival and moonsilver. It permeates her body and her armor, reinforcing her protection and giving no weaknesses for her foes to exploit.

A lunar with this charm active has 'perfect soak'. By that I mean there are no ways to bypass this soak or reduce it. It doesn't mean she will not take any damage, but that her soak will apply in full against any assault. You can not circumvent the soak now by any charm, spell or strategemn much like Invulnerable Moonsilver Carapace. It works for both normal soak and that provided by armor. A lunar may soak aggravated damage with her full lethal soak. It does not increase the lunars normal lethal soak. This charm provides no hardness and any hardness possessed by the character is not protected from reduction or change.

Cost: 4 motes

Duration: Instant

Type: Reflexive

Minimum Dexterity: 4

Minimum Essence: 3

Prerequisite Charms: Feline Gaurd Technique

With a sweep of her head the lunar's hair lengthens and shines like silver caught in moonlight, knocking aside and away attacks at her wether it is from a single blow, or a field of knives or even a huge bolder.

A lunar when useing this charm may make reflexive parry roll at her full Dexterity + Melee or MA or Brawl pool against any attack against her including those attacks that are normally unblockable but not those she does not know are coming.

Spinning Mongoose Strike

Cost: 5 motes

Duration: Instant

Type: Reflexive

Minimum Perception: 4

Minimum Essence: 2

Prerequisite Charms: Wary Swallow Method

Instincts and response times are heightened even further with this charm and accordingly the lunar can respond to an attack even before the attack itself happens. Her body recognizes the subtlest of signs to show the intent of those who mean her harm and attempts to end that threat before it actualizes.

A lunar may make a counterattack against a hand to hand attack against her. This counterattack is resolved before the attack roll for the opponent is made. This charm may be used against attacks that the lunar does not know are coming. You may only use this charm once for each attack. This doesn't give any knowledge of who the attacker is, and must be used before the opponent rolls the attack. It has happened that a lunar has lost a little to playful child or friend from this charm.

Cost: 7 motes, 1 willpower

Minimum Essence: 4

Prerequisite Charms: Running Through the Herd

The lunar moves quickly, her flesh and body shifting and changing constantly, first one person then another and another. This rapid change overloads part of the mind of those closeby, preventing them from distinguishing friend from foe. All are potential enemies or potentially the lunar. With this charm, more then one changing moon has caused an armed force to break down and destroy itself.

Anyone within the lunar's essence * 5 in yards becomes disoriented and confused. They can not tell who is friend, foe, or who the lunar even is. At the start of each turn, a perception + awareness roll at a difficulty equal to the lunar's essence must be made. Success means they can for that turn tell apart who is who, failure means that they think their friends are enemies, enemies friends, and no where is the lunar. Any attack made will be randomly placed against someone nearby.

Shifting Mass Method

Cost: 2 motes per health level

Duration: Instant

Type: Reflexive

Prerequisite Charms: Limb-Shielding Growth

With this a lunar reshapes his form when struck to hurridly move any organs or veins or bones or vital nerves out of the way of the attack, making an attack do no more then make a cut which does no damage and then closes and the flesh moves back into its place. In effect this lets a lunar buy down damage dealt after the damage roll is made. Any charms that require a character to deal damage for the charm to take effect can be nullified by buying an attack down to 0 damage.

Moonsilver Body Adaption

Cost: 8 motes, 1 willpower

Type: Reflexive

Minimum Stamina: 5

Minimum Essence: 4

Prerequisite Charms: Scales of the Dragon

Upon using this charm the lunars body underneath the fur or scales or flesh changes to be like moonsilver. Flowing, changing, adaptive. This grants two useful advantages. First of all at the start of each turn before anyone acts a lunar may name a material his body will instantly heal from. Flesh, stone, steel, Jade(counts for all types), Orichalcum, etc. can all be named for example. Any stike against the lunar by such weapons that turn will do no damage as the moonsilver body beneath perfectly adapts to it and using a mixture of healing and shaping reduces all damage dealt by such materials to 0. The second benifit is a lunar increases the limits of his toughness. A lunars maximum natural soak is raised by one third the lunars stamina rounded up. Soak that exceeds 12 still counts towards his oversoak which is also increased in limit by the same amount. A lunar cut open by another kind of weapon will reveal the moonsilver flesh underneath making it very clear that the lunar is obviously some sort of supernatural being if it had not been guessed by then.

Example: A lunar in DBT form with an 9 stamina and the gift Impenetrable Beast-Armors which adds +6 soak would have normally have a soak of 12 and 3 oversoak. Instead of having 12 soak and 3 oversoak the lunar changes to have 15 soak and 3 oversoak with an oversoak limit from other charms at 15.

What about Lunars whose forms have no hair? Are they SOL? - [[Quendalon]]

Spinning Mongoose Strike - Compare to Solar Counterattack. That cost 3 motes, similar cost and prerequisites. However, Spinning Mongoose Strike interrupts the original attack, which is very powerful. Raise the cost to 5 motes? In addition(and I assume this is an oversight) you don't have anything written about only being able to use this charm once per attack. If someone attacks me and I can activate this... say, 10 times... that's a bit powerful. -[[Fifth]]

I see your point about the mote cost, and the bit about the multiple attack thing...well it hadn't even occured to me that someone would do it like that since all other counterattacks you can't with. -BogMod

I think Shifting Mass Method costs too much to use. I'd drop the cost to 2 motes per HL, I think. I'm guessing that your cost choice is based on the availability of regeneration to Lunars, but I think 2 motes per HL would be plenty expensive enough to work out with that. Otherwise, nice Charm, fills a rather glaring hole in the Lunar damage-absorbtion tree. - [[David.]] on his laptop, with its goofy IP, wishing mIRC wasn't all dicked
