the Fell Blade Abrodar

From the writings of Chaste Smile, Twilight Caste of the Scavenger Lands

I believe I have found the nature of the Orichalcum Grand Daiklave that Gentle Morning found in the ruins of Denandsor's Undervault. I still have to check the runes more carefully, if I can get the blade away from Gentle Morning long enough, but in truth I have few doubts that it is indeed Abrodar that corrupts my friend. The way that the blade has seemingly taken hold of his mind first aroused my suspicion, but the similarities between his blade and the one described in the Rise and Fall of Minor Empires are too close for me to dismiss. (On another subject, the nerve of these dynasts in describing the ancient Solar Deliberative as a 'minor empire' never ceases to amuse me.)

Apparently the Blade was wielded by a Demon of the Third Circle, Zabakah, who is one of the progeny of a greater demon called 'the Ebon Dragon'. I must do more research on this subject, but my first priority is to free Gentle Morning from the blade's power. It apparently is an ancient evil indeed, dating back to the early Deliberative -- it was first recorded by the Exalted as part of something called the Banishment of Shadows. The entry from 'Rise and Fall' suggests that the blade was instrumental in the Ritual of Darkening ... but it doesn't give any details. I'll have to find better sources than some idiotic book that I stole from a Outcaste, I suppose.

I just hope it's not too late to save Gentle Morning from the blade's influence.
