by his house to investigate a rumored ruins near greyfalls\\ killedshadowrun: Pat from his hill people contacts finds out about the ruins, and they want him to investigate because they are starting to move into the area, of 4 scouts only 1 returned alive, baring an odd blue jade piece\\ KirinDave: Okay\\ killedshadowrun: Troy's character has been stationed at Greyfalls by the order and hasn't been able to do a whole lot, and its starting to wear on his patience\\ killedshadowrun: Paul arrive in Greyfalls and has no clue where he is going\\ killedshadowrun: so i let him make a beurcracy roll to get a guide... he gets 5 successes, so he gets a whole group organized, some Nurisi (or whatever they're called) Troy's character and a fire DB all join the quest\\ killedshadowrun: they travel down the road till they get off the beaten path, They all spot (except Pat who is about a day's ride ahead) this odd totem like thing.\\ KirinDave: Totem thing?\\ killedshadowrun: It causes the natives to go into uproar and refuse to go on\\ killedshadowrun: wooden carving\\ killedshadowrun: (they in woods btw)\\ killedshadowrun: Paul makes his occult roll and easily succeds, its a warning that a Tomb of a Demon is ahead\\ killedshadowrun: (GM note, actual demon not anathema)\\ killedshadowrun: They break camp and the Nurisi spend the whole night awake around the fire chanting in Eastern (which no one but the fire NPC understands, and he can barely figure out what their saying with no occult and their basatardization of the languate)\\ killedshadowrun: this goes on until 10 the following morning\\ KirinDave: O_o\\ KirinDave: This is going to be bad.\\ killedshadowrun: when the Guide who till this point has never acted like he understands high realm tells them in high realm that they are ready to go on\\ killedshadowrun: Pat meanwhile has made it to the clearing where the tracks from the earlier mortal group end\\ killedshadowrun: there is an obvious hole basically in the ground at a level that you can walk/ride down, its big enough for a large carriage to go down\\ killedshadowrun: A good awareness roll lets pat make out 5 wooden totems at the 5 corners of this clearing and an odd shaped pointed rock near the entrance\\ KirinDave: You should Blog this :-)\\ killedshadowrun: the rock is made out of a material he has never seen before\\ killedshadowrun: a little digging reveals the rock goes down into the earth beyond, pat's patience for digging\\ killedshadowrun: pat makes a torch and leads his horse (a weak familar btw) into the hole\\ killedshadowrun: Its a long long long, very long, (did i mention long) tunnel\\ killedshadowrun: the walls/ceilings are made out of the same material as previoius stated rock\\ killedshadowrun: and there seem to be very fainted paint on the walls making out vaguely humanoid shapes and a much larger one\\ killedshadowrun: eventually the other group makes it there and after a little discussion the Nurisi stay topside while the 2 PCs and the NPC Fire descend into the hole\\ killedshadowrun: everyone on horse back btw\\ killedshadowrun: the tunnel eventually leads out into an enormous room, so high by torch you can not see the ceiling, there is an absolutely massive table down the middle that could easily seat 100 people\\ killedshadowrun: more if you didn't give DB style room to each person\\ KirinDave: DB Style room? :-)\\ killedshadowrun: there are the tattered frames of what look to have been 4 large portraits\\ killedshadowrun: as in non highsociety\\ killedshadowrun: there are 4 tunnels leading on a near left, a far left, a near right, and a far right\\ killedshadowrun: they can now easily make out the tracks of the previous explorers, and only one set leads back\\ killedshadowrun: Pat takes that route\\ killedshadowrun: the route is another massively long tunnel\\ killedshadowrun: (faint D2 music in the background because pat has it left up on his comp)\\ killedshadowrun: perfect mood piece btw\\ KirinDave: It is.\\ KirinDave: Wow, a lot happened.\\ killedshadowrun: eventually the route bends back, (i didn't describe it like this but basically an elbow shape)\\ killedshadowrun: eventually Pat makes it out into a circular room with a 100 yard diameter\\ killedshadowrun: in the center of the room is a large Blue Jade cube with a bit of corner chipped off (the same piece that Pat has) he can faintly smell blood\\ killedshadowrun: Pat searches for the source and finds a shallowly buried in sand large dead bat\\ killedshadowrun: he than looks up to see...\\ killedshadowrun: a ceiling full of Bats\\ KirinDave: Haha\\ KirinDave: "Eeep"\\ killedshadowrun: Pat sneaks over to the jade cube and examines it, he discovers that there is a faint line near the top around the outside (like its 2 pieces)\\ killedshadowrun: he tries to start lifting it, and after spending a wp roll and rolling to raise his str + athletics from 6 to 9 he starts lifting meanwhile...\\ killedshadowrun: The other characters have reached the table room\\ killedshadowrun: in grand tradition they decide to split up\\ KirinDave: Haha\\ KirinDave: "Shaggy, Scooby, you explore this haunted house. Daphne and I will explore the bedroom."\\ killedshadowrun: troy takes the near right path, the fire takes the path Pat did, and Paul rides to the far right path\\ killedshadowrun: i explain to paul just how absolutely huge this room is, it takes him 1/2 an hour of riding to even make it to the start of his path\\ killedshadowrun: Meanwhile troy heads down his path and after a huge long windy path he sees a circular room ahead\\ killedshadowrun: he makes a successful perception + awareness check and can tell that something is in the room\\ killedshadowrun: he gets off his horse and steps into the room, where he enters into combat with a blood ape\\ killedshadowrun: he beats it back with one swing, and the other 2 wake up\\ KirinDave: Ack\\ KirinDave: Blood ape! Blood ape!\\ killedshadowrun: he kills 2 of them, using the mace to basically knock them back real good\\ killedshadowrun: the final one leaps unto a red cube in the center of the room\\ killedshadowrun: as troy approaches it appears to be made out of solid red jade\\ KirinDave: Hmm\\ killedshadowrun: he kills the blood ape, as its blood flows down the cube, a red light starts emanating from it\\ KirinDave: I'm picking up on a pattern of jade.\\ killedshadowrun: He backs away from the red light\\ killedshadowrun: and finds his escape route has been sealed\\ killedshadowrun: he does a bit of digging and below the dirt the floor is made of the same material\\ killedshadowrun: the lid appears to heavy for him to pick up, but he does and red light pours out as he peers in.....\\ killedshadowrun: we got to Pat\\ KirinDave: heh heh heh\\ killedshadowrun: Pat has just about managed to lift the lid off of the cube, when he hears a horse.. and sees a fire DB enter the room\\ killedshadowrun: The fire draws his daiklaive and points it at pat's character, "who are you?"\\ killedshadowrun: Pat's nearly groaning reply is the same question\\ killedshadowrun: the fire Db orders pat to put down the lids, at which point pat points out the bats\\ killedshadowrun: Pat finishes removing the lid and tosses it to the ground, the Blue Jade box lets out a shriek...\\ killedshadowrun: after a combat with only minor wounds there lays copious amounts of dead bats on the ground\\ killedshadowrun: (the fire used the presence charm that summons a group of firey phantams to throw off the bats)\\ killedshadowrun: they talk for a little while until they notice the box glowing and as they peer in...\\ killedshadowrun: We cut to Paul, but we ran out of time\\ killedshadowrun: have a clue what i'm up to?\\ KirinDave: Hmm\\ KirinDave: Not really\\ KirinDave: What are you up to?\\ killedshadowrun: no telling, but they are in the body of a dead bohemoth\\ KirinDave: Yucky\\ killedshadowrun: the reason this place is guarded so is that the behotmoth wasn't exactly killed totally\\ killedshadowrun: they climbed down the neck\\ killedshadowrun: and they are entering what would be the 4 limbs\\ killedshadowrun: in each box there is something that can restore the Behomoth, the air box houses blue jade lungs, the fire box houses a red jade heart\\ killedshadowrun: there is a long piece of rolled tubing type stuff in a Black jade box, adn in white jade box there are the equivlent of kidneys\\ killedshadowrun: if they had traveled to the back of the behomoth there is a small but powerful armory\\ KirinDave: Umm, yummy!\\ KirinDave: Haha\\ KirinDave: The William Wallace room, complete with lightning bolts from his arse!\\ killedshadowrun: there is also room to put in each of the items from the box\\ killedshadowrun: when all totally inserted it awakens the spirit of the Behomoth\\ KirinDave: That's probably a bad idea\\ killedshadowrun: it will rise from teh ground, as basically an undead critter\\ killedshadowrun: and seek to complete its last mission, the Sacking of Hollow\\ killedshadowrun: the characters will have more than enough time to get out since its bones will be out stretched rather than bound into passages\\ KirinDave: Hmm\\ killedshadowrun: of course i was shooting from the hip as i went on most of this, thats why they didn't discover what was in teh boxes\\
