How I learned to stop worrying and love Avoidance Kata

Session six begins with another ominous meeting between certain members of the Directional Convention of Water. Jiang Chou, Hidden Crystal, and Silent Sunset. Rain beat down on the manse, and lightning punctuated any statement that could remotely be construed to be ominous. There was some discussion about how to progress. At this point, ninjas failed to attack. It was soon decided that Silent Sunset and Hidden Crystal would investigate the names on Lytek's list, while Jiang would try to acquire artifacts.

Silent Sunset invades the offices of his friend and superior, Violet Catastrophe, searching through the man's personal papers. Before he can uncover much of interest, Violet Catastrophe returns to his office, nearly catching Silent in the act! Silent activates his Avoidance kata and vanishes, reappearing in the waiting room of the Pearl Court!

Sunset is caught off guard, not expect to suddenly have an appointment with the powerful Raksha noble, Nehemeth. Thinking quickly, he attempted to interest her in an alliance against the Death Lords. Nehemth indicated that she was willing to think upon the offer, but had not yet come to a decision. Once again, ninjas failed to attack. Silent Sunset made his farewells, but failed to escape before being sadled with a Raksha servant, a farewell present from the Queen.

When he returned to Heaven, he dropped his new pet off at his Manse, then arranged a meeting with Lytek, seeking to discover what information Lytek had recovered from the Abyssal. Unfortunately, Lytek rebuffed him, unwilling or perhaps unable to share.

Jiang remained in Heaven. His first stop was with the God of Lost Artifacts. After a short period of barganing, he arranged to acquire a Temporal Dilation Pod, to shorten his training time for essence. After spending several hours in the machine, raising his essence, he left to visit the library.

A bit of investigation revealed the truth behind the Abyssal's menacing intimations. The West was falling apart, the recent increase in essence expenditures weakening the fabric of reality. The damage of the Mask constellation had hindered the Pattern Spiders abilities to maintain the tapestry and entropy was slowly and surely encroaching upon Creation.

At the end, Jiang sent a summons to his Circle, meaning to prepare them for a trip to Creation, to rectify a certain flaw in Fate. A Realm fleet was in the wrong place, and it's up to the Circle to remedy this. Likely with copious amounts of violence and fire.
