Redbridge

Manse; Level 1 Earth

Hearthstone: Gem of Dignity.

This manse is a red stone bridge over the Arkos River about seven miles downstream of the junction of the Opo and the Arkos. It was built long ago of red granite laced with white jade. The bridge consists of three arches crossing a shallow gorge; the center arch is supported by a squat tower that rises above the road. This central tower is the manse proper. The whole thing looks as if it was carved from the earth by water, then crudely shaped by human hands -- as indeed it was. The manse has two entrances, doors on the upstream and downstream sides of the bridge. These doors face out to the river, and can be reached by a pair of stairs that rise from the roadway.

Redbridge is claimed by the god of the Arkos River, ChurningFoam?. He spends most of his time in Yu-Shan, gambling and debauching. In his absence, the manse is cared for by a lesser spirit of water, Gleamfist?.

Churning Foam is fond of the manse and will not willingly part with it save as the stakes of a wager, in trade for something he badly wants, or if ordered to by the Celestial Bureaucracy.
