Experience Awards Explained

Attendance

  • +2 Experience - All players automatically receive 2 experience for showing up on time to a session and being ready to play. Players who show up to a session late who have informed me in advance that they will be late also receive 2 experience for the session.
  • +1 Experience - Players who arrive late to a session without informing me in advance only receive 1 experience for attending the session.
  • +1 Experience - Players who do not show up to the session, but inform me in advance that they will be absent receive 1 experience for the missed session. Players who are missing and have not informed me in advance of their absence receive no experience.

Glamour

  • Exceptional Stunts - Any successful 2-Die Stunt that impresses with me with its execution nets the character an additional point of Experience for the session. Any stunt that I deem worth 3-Dice automatically nets the character an additional point of Experience.
  • Exceptional Victory - Accomplishing something significant during the session in a cinematic manner that reinforces your character's image as a hero or simply improves his or her image in the eyes of others nets your character an additional point of Experience.

Genius

  • Innovation - Coming up with an innovative solution to a problem that advances the plot and does not require any prompting from me as the Storyteller grants the character an additional point of Experience for the session.

Dharma

  • Positive Reinforcement - Roleplaying your character exceptionally well in a way that adds to the experience of others without detracting from the story nets your character an additional point of Experience for the session.
  • Romance - Involving your character romantically with another will net 1 to 3 Experience for the session. Any romantic notion will net 1 XP. More developed roleplaying in this direction will earn more. Romance between two PCs is generally worth more than romance between a PC and an NPC.
  • Personal Goal - Accomplishing some significant personal goal for your character earns your character an additional 3 Experience for the session. Significant personal goals typically relate to a character's Intimacies and Motivation, but they can also involve resolving issues from a character's back story.
  • Personal Growth - Any situation in which the character learns something that causes that character to grow as a character in a meaningful and substantial way also earns the character an additional point of Experience for the session.

Milestone

  • Victory - Accomplishing a significant goal for the Chronicle as determined by me automatically nets all characters involved an additional 3 experience.
  • Resolution - Reaching any point in the story that I deem is a significant milestone nets all characters involved an additional 5 experience.
