Magnificent Arrow of Light

Background

Born in the Scavenger Systems, a child of a simple village, Magnificent Arrow of Light had a different name. A name has cast aside and forgotten. He was a normal person for years - until one day, his planet was known to have harbored some sort of Anathema.

The Wyld Hunt came. They brutally 'questioned' his fellow villagers, and when no information could be found, decided to burn the village for its insolence. The fires spread, helped along by the Dragon-Blooded leader and his soldiers, and Mal (his nickname these days) felt a burning, blazing anger. An anger unmatched by any he had ever known.

For what seemed to be hours, but were truly only minutes, he watched, the anger growing...and then, for just a moment, he was no longer in his village. No, he was in the void between worlds, standing on the black blanket of the night, staring into the face of a golden, light-filled being. And he heard its voice, and he knew it spoke to him.

Go, my child. I am the Unconquered, the greatest of beings, the Sun. Bring freedom to the world in my name, be my arrow in a world without light. You are mine, and for me you will fight. Go forth.

And then, he was back. He felt power surge through him, and his muscles swell...and on his forehead, a blazing light blasted forth, a pure circle of gold. The Wyld Hunt were sent back regretting they had come. He had a new name now, chosen for himself. Magnificent Arrow of Light.

They would regret their failure even more. Rising quickly from 'villager' to 'pirate captain,' he befriended a fellow Anathema, a servant of the Machine Lord Autochthon, and she built for him the House of Dragons, a voidship of great power. Armed with this, Mal has plagued the Realm (and, by extension, the Guild) for some time.
