Spend 1 mote when someone attempts to pierce a deception you have spoken. You gain double-9s on your roll, and may contest magic that otherwise infallibly detects lies.
Someone taken in by Venomous Whispers will not deny the evidence of their senses; if you convince them the sky is green, they may check but will still see the sky is blue.
Avoiding the Truth (Sidereal) You may also use Venomous Whispers to make a truth you speak sound like a lie.
Bitter Sweetness of Betrayal (Abyssal) When persuading someone to act against a positive intimacy, that intimacy is not applied to the victim's Resolve. If you have evidence, real or manufactured, of her claim, Venomous Whispers costs zero motes.
Doubt Sowing Insinuation (Infernal) When weakening a positive intimacy or instilling a negative intimacy, positive intimacies are not applied to the victim's Resolve. If you have evidence, real or manufactured, of her claim, Venomous Whispers costs zero motes.
Moonlit Fancy (Lunar) Venomous Whispers may be purchased with Finesse 3 instead of Embassy 3, and costs no motes to use when under the sky at night.
Shadow Over Day (Solar) Costs no motes to use the first time each scene, and adds your Essence in automatic successes to contest magics which would reveal your deception.
Truth is Relative (Getimian) So long as your deception regards your self, your history, or your actions, you gain double-8s instead of double-9.
Smoke Without Flame (Dragon-Blooded) When your deception is used as a Set Up for a member of your hearth or circle, remove two from your victim's Resolve instead of one for the initial success.
