This is a set of tables on which you can roll to generate prompts for new Artifact weaponry.

Weaponry Table

Please roll 1d100 on the following table in order to generate the "type" of weapon.

  • The Weapon column contains the mundane name for the "type" of weapon you've generated -- sword, crossbow, etc.
  • The Artifact Name column contains the name for that kind of Artifact weapon. These are a combination of canonical 3e/Essence terminology (daiklave, direlash, etc.), 2e names where required (Floating Ribbon, etc.), and community descriptions from the Exalted Discord Server for weapon types which have not yet received an official name (Crescent Moon Spade, Heaven-Ascending Ladder, etc.).

Material

Material can be rolled as many times as you like. Keep the first result as the primary material and all further results as minor materials. Or, just roll once and let that guide you, your choice.

You have two options when generating the Artifact material:

  • You may roll 1d10 on the following table, which lists all types of Jade separately. In this case, the results are heavily skewed toward jade, as it is listed 5 times out of 10. This arguably reflects the fact that jade is the most common material in Creation.
Result (1d10) Material
1 Blue Jade
2 White Jade
3 Red Jade
4 Black Jade
5 Green Jade
6 Moonsilver
7 Orichalcum
8 Soulsteel
9 Starmetal
0 Adamant
  • If you instead wish for the materials to be evenly-distributed (that is, equally likely with one another), you may roll 1d6 on the following table:
Result Material
1 Adamant
2 Jade (1d6 — 1: Blue, 2: White, 3: Red, 4: Black, 5: Green, 6: Roll again)
3 Moonsilver
4 Orichalcum
5 Soulsteel
6 Starmetal
