Background:
Hinan Heishi was born in a Satrapy of the Realm of the Scarlet Empress about 200 miles downriver (unless that river flows away from the ocean) called Willow's Path. Born to the Realm Patrician family Hinan, Heishi was raised to be a warrior and to follow his father in the local legion. His father's brother (Heishi's uncle) Exalted as a Fire Aspect Dragon-Blooded, and thus has a high position within the Satrap. Quite often Heishi would spend time as the local Immaculate temple, learning what he could of the Immaculate Texts, and had a close friendship with one of the monks. His mother and two sisters (one older, one younger) also live in Willow's Path, and before Heishi Exalted he was on very good terms with them all (though his older sister had a tendancy to annoy him to no end). He once had an older brother named Genmetsu. Genmetsu didn't particularly like the Realm because he didn't believe it did enough for the common people and just worried about pleasing the Dynastic nobility, thus he Willow's Path. Before he left, he said that anyone who agreed with him should follow his lead and meet him in Halta. Heishi was very distraught by this turning of events, as he always looked up to his brother while they were growing up. Eventually he joined the local legion (more a garrison, really, but they like to talk big), and it was discovered he had a distinct talent for leadership. It was thought that he would do better than his father in the long run. Then, he Exalted as a solar.

It was high noon, and he was on his way back home to deliver some fresh bread, when suddenly he was struck by a bright light, and given a vision of a large flaming ball of gold that spoke to him of what he was, and what he was meant to do. As the vision ended, he saw many people surrounding him, people he knew, and all of them had a distinct look of fear and disgust on their faces. At that moment, he fully realized what he was, and that he must leave. He turned around to leave, but was confronted with a contingent of guards led by his uncle. His uncle drew forth his red jade Daiklaive, and ordered Heishi to draw his own blade, a simple straightsword. Heishi did so, but refused to fight, and in the battle to come, only parried his uncles attacks. After a somewhat drawn out battle, Heishi was able to escape from the city, and headed north and east, doing as his brother had suggested years before. He made his way for Halta to join his brother in exile. On this journey he managed to find himself an Orichalcum Reinforced Breastplate to replace his battered and beaten lamellar armor. He also managed to come across a small village in the midst of being raided by bandits. He managed to kill most of the bandits (at least those who didn't run from someone glowing like a blazing sun come to Creation), but found only 4 survivors in the remains of the village. At first they were scared and thought they had been saved from the frying pan and tossed into the Anathema caused fire, but he was able to eventually convince them of his sincerity in their safety, and that he wasn't a demon. Well, almost, one of them would have nothing to do with any "stinking filthy anathema dogs" and ran off into the wilderness. Seeing that they had nothing left in the village, they asked if they could accompany Heishi on his journey. At first he was hessitant, as he knew the Wyld Hunt would be somewhere behind him, but was himself persuaded to allow them to come, as they could help him, and he them.
His followers are Jaeme Hilltonne, his wife Kaeri, and the village's blacksmith Kraigwin Bellsworth. Jaeme helped out in the fields, working for the local big farmer, while Kaeri worked as a seamstress.
