There is one sort of food that is in great abundance in Solace: seafood. Fish, crabs, mussels, shrimp, the occasional lobster... it's all here, and it's cooked in countless ways. Solace's own 'style' seems to be lightly spiced, and the prices are fair enough that even a common family can have fish every other day. Tian, having wandered from the group, finds himself before one of the many streetside grill stands, watching a husband and wife couple make delicious-smelling stuff at a breakneck pace--they're apparently popular.

Tian has, between his abrupt departure and his arrival at what smells like lunch, found himself a coarse brown robe-coat and new overclothes. Combined with a quick wash, he looks sparkling fresh. He glances over at the stand, then at his stomach, and then at the stand again before heading over.

The wife of the team, while working on some fresh fishsteaks, salutes Tian in West-tinged Riverspeak, then points him to the printed prices on a nearby sign; fair, if a tad high.

Dyna is thumbing through the pages of a small book she just bought as she walks down the street. She's has also had a chance to clean herself up, and has changed into a fresh, more colorful set of clothes. Breon is not visible at present, but the beast is crafty... he could concievably be close, even here.

<Dyna> ... Oh, Tianyu... hello there!

Dyna smiles cheerfully and waves to Tian. A hot bath, a change of clothes, and a bit of food has apparently lifted her spirits considerably.

Tian nods briefly to Dyna, reaching into a pocket and pulling out a small money-bag. With only a quick glance at the sign, he immediately sets into fast-paced haggling, displaying a surprisingly detailed knowledge of how much seafood should sell for and the current market conditions.

Needless to say, he pretty much blows by the lady, even though she seems, herself, a skilled haggler. At the end of it all, he talks her down to a rather nice price, and she looks around to see if anyone heard her agree to it.

Tian leaves a few coins on the counter, thanks the lady in Riverspeak, and takes his small bundle of shrimp skewers. He turns to Dyna, immediately switching to flawless High Realm. "What a coincidence meeting you here, Miss Dyna."

Dyna responds in High Realm, in turn. "Well, these last few days have been one amazing coincidence after the other, haven't they?"

<Tian> Mm, perhaps.

Tian takes a seat on an unoccupied bench, setting the bundle on his lap and slowly unrolling the four skewers from their thin, rough wrapping.

<Dyna> I wonder if there's more to our recent employers than meets the eye... at least the old man, anyway.

<Tian> I've already started inquiries. Please, sit down.

Dyna sits down next to Tian. "Have you learned anything?"

Tian pulls a thin-bladed knife from his pocket, using it to pick the shrimp off the skewer and pop them into his mouth. "A few points of interest that I'd rather not share in such a crowded area."
