The character reaches out her hand, and a greasy dark bolt arcs away from her splayed fingers, distorting sight and sound as it looses itself upon Creation. Damage inflicted by this Charm takes the form of flayed skin peeling back into blossoms, puncture wounds in bizarre patterns and other artful inflictions of pain. The Exalt rolls Dexterity + Athletics or Thrown to hit, with an Accuracy bonus equal to her permanent Essence and range equal to her Essence score x 10 yards. The attack has a base damage of 1L per mote spent, up to a maximum expenditure equal to the Infernal’s Stamina + Lore, and bypasses soak from armour. Against spirits, elementals and celestial Exalted, this attack deals aggravated damage.

Her eyes quivering and flickering with concentration, the Infernal siphons up information as cloth siphons up blood. For the duration of the Charm, the character has a photographic memory. She may read books as quickly as she can read through them, condensing a day’s worth of research or reading into one hour.

A character may invoke this Charm to draw upon the vast stretches of knowledge of the Yozis themselves. The character makes an Intelligence + Lore check to remember information as normal. She may then purchase additional successes on her check, up to a maximum equal to her Essence score.

== Paradise of Wax Meditation ==

Briefly anointing her brow with candlewax, the Infernal falls back into her own mind, twisting off a dark avenue of thought in the name of blissful ignorance. The character may immediately forget, without hope of recall, any piece of information she wishes. She may not thereafter act on that information and may not even notice it gone, but may relearn it. This does not allow a character to forget that she is an Infernal or who she owes fealty to – the Demon Princes will not allow knowledge of what an Infernal is or her masters to slip that easily.

== Beckoning Silky Regress ==

* Cost: 4 motes, 1 Willpower

* Duration: Indefinate

* Type: Simple

* Minimum Lore: 4

* Minimum Essence: 3

* Prerequisite Charms: Paradise of Wax Meditation

The Infernal takes a minute to coat her lips with an immaculate veneer of tears, which last as long as the Essence for the Charm is committed. She may expend the Charm by declaring one piece of information backward in a soft and deliberate voice (a simple action). By the time she has finished, she has forgotten the meaning of her words, and is thereafter immune to the efforts of others to tell her of it. Listeners with an Essence lower than the Exalt are affected as though by Paradise of Wax Meditation. An Infernal cannot forget who she is or who she works for using this Charm.

== Bearing The Cream Panoply ==

* Cost: 8 motes, 1 Willpower, 1 experience point

* Duration: Indefinate

* Type: Simple

* Minimum Lore: 5

* Minimum Essence: 4

* Prerequisite Charms: Beckoning Silky Regress

To activate this Charm, the Infernal must first take an hour to prepare a silk parchment, watermarked with elaborate patterns of drool. She may then writes a piece of information upon it (a simple action), in a made-up language quickly forgotten. As the ink melts into the watermarks and disappears, all written information on the subject fades in a similar fashion. Anyone whose gaze falls upon the silk parchment is affected as though by Paradise of Wax meditation, unless they have an Essence score greater than the Infernal. As soon as the Essence for the Charm is no longer committed the parchment melts to sludge, useless, but the loss it has caused is permanent. An Infernal cannot forget who she is or who she works for using this Charm.

== Immaculate Tarring Discipline ==

* Cost: 12 motes, 1 Willpower, 1 lethal health level

* Duration: Instant

* Type: Reflexive

* Minimum Lore: 6

* Minimum Essence: 5

* Prerequisite Charms: Bearing the Cream Panoply, Master of Aeons Attitude

This Charm may be activated immediately after an Infernal takes an action – that action thereafter has no consequence, forgotten by time and fate. Strands of the Tapestry bleach white and unravel, severing the link between cause and effect. A forgotten death is never noticed. A forgotten sentence is never heard. A forgotten movement gets nowhere. A forgotten injury causes no pain or disability. Anything the player and Storyteller can agree on a non-resolution for can be negated by this Charm – it is a perfect effect. Use of Immaculate Tarring Discipline leaves telltale marks and breaks on the Tapestry, manifesting as paradoxes and omens for some time afterward – it may draw the attention of the Heavenly Bureaucracy to the Infernal.

Um, I think that you want to change some of your Charm durations there. A Charm's Duration describes the ength of the Essence-working it forms, and for non-Instant Charms, how long the Essence is committed. They specifically don't describe how long an effect the Charm causes lasts. Most of those memory-manipulations seem to be Instant or Indefinite. - [[willows]]

Thanks for pointing that out, and I'll bear the terminology in mind in the future...DeathBySurfeit
