NPCs from the Wyld Wanderers Campaign

The purpose of this page is quite easy; I create a lot of NPCs, even on the fly. This is to help me keep track of their names and functions, as a reference in game and for my players. It can also be interesting reading, even more so once I type up some session summaries (which I intend to do whenever I get around to it).

Plot Characters

  • Joran Carart, also known as Ten Iron Thunders. Gold Faction Sidereal, Mars-casted, and leader of the Cult of the Illuminated cell that the players will be introduced to by Malar Lirran.
  • Galliwe and Cael-Thal. A greater deity in service to the Unconquered Sun, and his blade. Galliwe is currently imprisoned in some location which nobody knows about, while Forsath has Cael`Thal in his possession. Forsath has agreed to an Oath to free this God, and made it a part of his backstory and emotional being.
    • Galliwe apparently has access to very little essence in his prison, and so can communicate with Forsath very rarely (and has even more difficulties with actually aiding Forsath at this point). However, he has a connection to the Blade, and can sometimes use some of Forsath's own essence in interesting ways through this link.
  • Bitter Rushes, a Linowan Tiger-Lunar, who runs with a wild tribe of Linowan Pirates and Bandits who raid on civilizations fringes. Slaughtered Lilaryn's Mercenary Company, and was nearly killed by the Circle.
  • Emaldrine, a potent Demon of the Second Circle, who was summoned and bound near the end of the First Age to watch over the final resting place of Zhakain's most powerful Manse and his most sacred artifacts (his swords). She's thus been stranded in the bottom of a cave for the past 1,500 years, bound by sorcery.
    • Emaldrine has, over those long long years (and especially since the Contagion) gained a lot of covert influence over Eastern Barbarian tribes and especially the Ten Tribes, due to having served as a 'patron' to those who braved the Spirit Cave long enough to find her. She gifted those who found her with lore, magic, or a demon-blooded child. She has a fairly extensive bloodline.
    • Fox burned her with his Zenith anima, and threatened her multiple times. She WILL be back; insert major recurring villain.

Major Players

  • the Princess Lenore, the ruler of the small Village on the Maruto River called Eastend, and the daughter of the Emerald Waters Queen, a potent River Goddess on the CrownedSun/WyldNPCs/ThousandRiversCourt. Lenore is widely noted for her great beauty (appearance 5), and endless wealth (resources 5), and has used both of these to call heroes and assemble forces of Lookshy to hold off the Fair Folk invasion threatening her lands at the moment. This has hurt her populartity, as will get out.
  • Cinnae, formerly an Icewalker, before she was sold to the Guild by a shadowy figure named 'Helmor'. She's following the group, and seems competent enough -- she seems, almost despite herself, to like Forsath somewhat.
  • Cultist Malar Lirran, extremely fervent and faithful member of the Cult of the Illuminated. Accomplished Martial Artist, with some sub-Exalted 'mortal MA' type abilities. Helper to the Circle.

Minor Players

  • Hemoar, the oldest Son and Advisor of the Princess Lenore. Acts as her advocate and servant. Will be front-man to the Circle, in future.
  • Abram Megor, the Guard who protected them. Stabbed in throat by Sri Raj, but survived. Should use him again, eventually.
  • Helmor, the name of Cinnae's Master. The Leader of the Caravan who first entered Farhold, which brought all of the heroes together.
  • Pammer Blueblade, Captain of the Water Snake that brought Fox, Farsoth and Jemans to Eastend. An Outcaste Water-Aspect with a cursed blade.
  • Master Commander Rigauld, the Leader of the Hawk Talon Mercenary Company, who came to Eastend to fight on behalf of the Princess.

Names of Interest

  • Ghaiel Axe-bearer, the First Chief of the Ten Tribes, before they split up into different tribes.
    • Part of a mythology of the Ten Tribes, stating that in the time before the tribes split into ten (sometime after they found Elder Oak), they were ruled by a single chief. Each of the tribes claims this chief was one of theirs, and has a name and story for him. The Axe of Judgement tribe has the story of 'Ghaiel Axe-bearer'.
  • Dala of the Dales, Oathman of Ghaiel, fell in the Spirit Cave. Callandra found his gravemarker, Forsath gave him a blood sacrifice and said a little prayer in his name (one success). If he's still around (it's been at least 800 years) in the underworld, he might be an interesting figure to use again.

Former Players

  • Jemas Ian, a common thief and ruffian, was literally dragged off by Farsoth -- having come in on the same Caravan as the Whore, Cinnae, and having had the misfortune to be counting a purse full of gold (not his own) when the Barbarian discovered his missing purse. Thus guilty by association (even though he didn't know Cinnae), Jemas was forced along on the trip to Eastend -- though he didn't try too hard to escape, once he heard Fox's notes about Reward and Beautiful Princesses. After a bit of panic, Jemas proceeded to loose torrets of knives at the Fae during the Battle of Eastend and was Exalted by the Sun as a Night Caste.
  • Ozmathon Cahlash was many things to many people, even before his Exaltation. Seemingly swept upon an endless wind of battle and conflict, Cahlash fought in both the courts of man and the wilds of Creation, using politic and charm equally with the spear and shield. His life seemed an unending conflict, and he was not often able to settle down and recouperate in the face of survival. By his dwindling years, his tenacity had rewarded him with status as one of Nechara's most brilliant military masterminds. Years ago, Cahlash and his daughter vanished from his retirement estates - and now he is swept again upon a wind. This time, however, the conflict is truly endless, and the wind he rides is lit by the soft glow of the moon. It fills his lungs, and so doing makes him one of the Beloved of Luna.
