These artifacts take the form jewelery using one of the five colours of jade and look simply like hearthstone amulets in various forms such as bracelets or other broaches or such things. Yet that is a deception. When a hearthstone rests in the artifact the simple piece of jewelery can be transformed into a shield of one of the five elements based on the kind of jade used. These shields add 3 to their users DV against melee attacks and 4 against ranged. The artifact requires a hearthstone in it to work but does not prevent the stone from giving its power to the user.
