Description
Tall, dark and handsome describes Leoncio. He is in every way the spitting image of the romanticized noble spaniard. He dresses well and sports a pencil moustache, keeping himself looking respectable at all times. He has a natural talent to pick out what will make him look good. Though what he owns is of the finest quality none of it is particularly old or noteable as it went to his brothers and sisters who become Dragonblooded.
Leoncio's influence comes from a few places. First of all there is his political standing as Spain's delegate to the League of Nations. Second their is his personal wealth. With the Wars end he has quickly capitalized to profit from the rebuilding efforts going on. He holds a signifcant stake in several businesses that are involved in it and while he doesn't own them or have a majority stake he can make his opinion felt on the board and the Directors knowing who and what he is have not challanged some of his suggestions. Finally during the war he went back and forth between several nations not only keeping Spain out of the War but also meeting with foreign governments to keep Spain neutral without antagonizing either side.
Like many of his family he received an income originally from his family and added to that through his work in the government of Spain. A graduate from the University of Zaragoza with a Masters in Political Science the position did not pay the most but it did serve to connect him with many people in his work within the diplomatic wing of the Spanish Government. Even before his Exaltation he had been able to turn his modest funds into real wealth with his Exaltation only speeding up the success of his business endevors. He saw the opportunities where others did not and his charms turned organizations that might have failed for internal reasons succeed and prosper to say nothing of his wise use of the stock markets. Even now only years after his Exaltation he has become one of the richest in Europe and purchased certain traditional lands from his family for himself, his wife, and his children. His wife Ana is his sole beneficiary if something should happen to him, and the kids if both suffer. In his will is also a few instructions to his children to help ensure they remain prosperous. A request of his wife so they or their children never have to grow up as she did.
History
Born in 1888 to the noble Vega family of the Vega's of Spain Leoncio was always a charming man. The Vega's have always had a strong presence in Huesca, both the province and the city. Several estates spread throughout that region and the larger Aragon region of Spain. His eductation and the connections of his family got him a position working as a rather important figure for the diplomatic core of Spain. Though quite young compared to many other elder statesmen his ability with people worked in his favor and he helped to negotiate the Treaty of Fez of 1912. While a talented diplomat his visits to other countries have been for specific ends rather than a long term posting at any one nation.
When the Great War broke out he was one of those that worked to keep Spain out of it and his Exaltation while in private meetings with influencial members of the Spanish government helped to ensure that they did. Outside of the closed doors of his government he was also busy making diplomatic trips to foreign countries during the war to ensure. A trip in the middle of the war though changed him. Seeing the devestation it could bring, the damage to people, it changed him and for the better. That was when he Exalted as he saw how the bonds forged by diplomacy had been turned into the bonds that forced war. That the world was not what it should be. He now wants the League of Nations to work and to ensure there are no other wars like that ever again. To see that the nations are bound together so that all people are as one and will not wage such wars upon each other ever again.
On a more personal note he has two children. A 15 year old daughter Daniela(who he calls Dania) and a ten year old son called Teodoro(Teo) by his wonderful if tempermental fire aspect wife Ana. The whole family is Catholic which is no surprise given them being Spanish.
