= Alchemical things =
== Regular troops ==

Particularly harsh Storytellers may opt not to use regular troops, and simply have Elite troops taking up the entire army instead.
These troops use stats for Regular troops.These troops have been equipped with steam reloading hand crossbows (+1 rate) (called steambows).
They also have a chain shirt.
Their Archery ability has been increased by 1 (now 3) and they have shields.

Every troop unit (20 men) includes a commander(uses stats of an elite soldier but with his archery increased by 1, with a 1 dot specialty in crossbows. his crossbow and sword add +1 acc and dmg to the norm. Each unit will also contain a thaumaturge who uses the following alchemy-
will give a soldier “final vengance” (no valour checks and no wound penalty), throws Ardent embrace resin (opponent takes damage as though in a {bonfire} for 1 minute, and has some poison curing potions.
knows the 1st, (and mabe 2nd and 3rd, depending on the games power level) system explained later and will use it.
finally every troop unit has 2 leeches (explained later.)

== Elite Troops ==
=== Lightning ===

Lightning is fast, singular and painful.
Translated into military terms, that is usually a sniper. They will covertly take up cover and snipe out either people who are senior, or just some plain guy. lightning troops carry a lightning charged sword, in case of a confrontation. it is usually a straight sword, with the following addition:
The “R” tag and +1 acc.( a bolt of lightning will fly out of the sword and hit the enemy)
Grenade-
Has a charge of lightning stored and will release it at the closest conducting object, or can separate it out. It bypasses all amour (unless it is specifically resistant to lightning) and does 20L. This Grenade can be set to hit any number of targets, dividing the dmg between the targets equally.

=== The Metal Elite ===

Metal troops often show great stamina and toughness. They are trained to feel no pain. They almost always are seen in thick plated metal amour (sometimes up to 6in thick), the only exception to this rule is when they are quickly setting up a defensive structure, which they are adept at.
Metal weapons have the following additions- +1 acc, +2 Dmg

=== the Smoke Service ===

These are the spies and espionagees that sneak behind the enemy lines and obscure their metaphorical vision, while taking it theirselves. smoke weapons (concealable swords) have the following addition:
once per turn, if the weapon deals damage, the opponents current action has +1 spd.
Grenade-
Smoke grenade, nothing much else to be said.

=== The Oil Legion ===

Your close combat trained troops. They wear long sealed buff jackets, a gas mask, gloves, and sometimes a chest plate. All of these are varying shades of black. they carry round some kind of pistol / hand crossbow and some kind of close quarters weapon eg. a sword.

=== The Steam Company ===

Steam troops are the bulk of the ranged forces. They use steam shots.

Tag- St- steam weapon. steam weapons will always include a generator/steam tank, which is ovuloid in shape is roughly 18 inches wide, 2 ft high, and 6 inches outwards. It has lots of tubes coming out. it imposes a -2 mob pen to all users. The user can wait an extra amount of ticks before firing the weapon to make the shot more powerful and longer ranged, or less powerful but more of them. you can add:
+20 range (if you choose to upgrade either range or damage, the rate drops to 1 and cannot be improved)
+1 dmg
+1 rate (if you choose to add rate, the damage drops to 3L and cannot be improved)

Steamshot
spd 5 acc +2 dmg 4L rate 2 range 100 tags P,St,Ba,2 cost 4 res

Tag Ba- Bayonett, this means there is some kind of blade on the weapon and it can be used to attack in close quarters. for 2h ranged weapons this is treated as a spear, and for a 1h weapon it is treated as a dagger.
Grenades-
Steam grenades launch a blast of steam into everyone in the immediate vicinity. burning and scalding them(havn't worked out dmg yet).

=== The Crystal Regiment ===

Crystal troops go through the most radical training/initiation procedures. They are equipped with Massive crystal moving wings and will hover around the battlefields. They are often the command bodyguard for the general of an army. Note that they are trained in thaumaturgy, yes they also have small mote pools.

Grenades-
Crystal grenades fire shattered crystal at everyone in the immediate vicinity, painfully crippling them, so that the crystal troops can rush in and slaughter them faster.


Note that all of the elite units can be equipped with leeches, but rarley have thaumaturgists (exept the Crystal Regiment). They use stats for elite troops, and if they have commanders, would probably use stats for heroic mortals.
