Body Stealing Abomination
Cost: —; Mins: Larceny 5, Essence 4; Type: Permanent
Keywords: Avatar (5), Shaping, Taint
Duration: Permanent
Prerequisite Charms: False Heart Mein, Larceny Essence Flow
With a shriek the Abyssal sheds the form she knew in life, pouring from her now vacant body as a sinister black cloud capable of subverting the will of others.
When purchasing this charm the Abyssal loses the ability to physically interact with anything material, though she may only be targeted by charms that can harm an immaterial target and retains a complete health level track, retaining the benefit of charms such as Ox Body Technique.
When the Abyssal finds a living mortal target who's form she deems "suitable" for her purposes she may touch the target and select one of his virtues- then rolls (essence + larceny) at a difficulty equal to the target's (essence + integrity) if the roll is successful then the Abyssal gains control and the body gains her traits.
The Abyssal perfectly succeeds on rolls to impersonate her host.

However this charm has three drawbacks besides the loss of the original body.
First of all, once per scene the host may contest the Abyssal's control with an opposed Integrity + Willpower roll.
Secondly, for each day the Abyssal inhabits her host it sustains a level of Aggravated damage that doesn't heal until the malign presence has departed.
Third and finally, the Abyssal and mortal have a shared fate.. should her vessel expire before she has time to vacate then she too will perish.
