MARTIAL ARTS HEARTHSTONES

Gem of Quickened Forms (Solar, Level 4): This ruby allows anyone attuned to it to halve all Martial Arts Actions. This includes the time required to activate any Scene-length Martial Arts Charm, specifically Martial Arts Form Charms. No Action's Speed may be reduced below 3, without the use of other magic.

Stone of Return (Water, Level 4): Any MA attack the Stone's holder suffers, she may return. So long as she is successfully hit with a MA Charm or Combo (Parrying the attack is allowed, but Dodging is not), she may activate the mirrored Stone's power, which imprints the attack within itself. At any later point, she may spend a point of Willpower to release the copied attack, which works for her exactly as it did against her. She does not need to meet the minimum requirements for the attack, but must pay any costs in Essence, Willpower and Health normally. The Stone can only hold one attack at a time, and attempting to copy another attack before using the one already stored results in the loss of the stored attack.

Rolling Impact Gem (Water, Level 2): This sapphire enhances the natural quality of Essence to guide those it flows through from rhythmic harm in combat. It bestows +2 to the user's Bashing Soak and DDV, against MA attacks only.

Pearl of Clear Sight (Air, Level 2): This pearlescent stone guides the awareness of the user. All Unexpected Attacks are treated as Expected, and resolved normally.

Gem of Distant Strikes (Sidereal, Level 4): This finely-cut emerald extends the reach of all MA Charms and Combos that require the "Touch" keyword. The martial artist activates the effect as normal, but the Essence signature passes from her hands to a favorite Throwing weapon that she holds (this is Obvious). She then throws the weapon at a target (for this use only, she may substitute her MA Ability for Thrown), who suffers the effect as normal if hit, along with the normal damage of the weapon, which replaces the normal Hand-to-Hand damage. While it can be Dodged, Parrying the weapon risks the effect affecting the target (unless a Perfect Parry was used), even if he successfully redirects it and takes no damage. Once the weapon is out of the stone holder's hands, she cannot prevent it from affecting anyone who is hit by it...indeed, it is even possible for the original attack to suffer her own attack if it can be redirected against her!
