Equipment: shuriken, javelins, throwing knives, short sword; artifact armour (see notes), finely-made but loose-fitting clothes (which can be worn over the armour, concealing it), pouch of poisons, bag containing equipment for survival in the wilderness, ranging dragonfly's eye.

Expanded Backgrounds

Artifacts: ranging dragonfly's eye (for 1 point), and armour which we customised using Ashigaru as a base. It's essentially much more lightweight, providing less soak but no mobility or fatigue penalties, and has a higher stealth bonus. It also incorporates an elemental lense, and this particular version is a first age suit requiring no repair, and is therefore worth artifact 3. So:

This armour is able to blur the form of the wearer very efficiently, and so provides a stealth bonus of 4 dice on demand (whether the wearer is moving or stationary). In addition, the armour comes with a mask which, when worn, gives all the other ashigaru bonuses (and the armour itself still provides the protection against poisons and so on). The main advantage of this armour is that it is extremely lightweight and very concealable, being carefully constructed to allow the wearer to move completely freely, and this particular suit was designed for exalts, having an elemental lense built into it.

(I mainly mention the mask because my ST ruled that, when using the ranging dragonfly's eye, Teyana has to remove her mask and so no longer gets the awareness bonus the armour provides.)

Backing: Status of 'specialist' within the Lookshy army.

Breeding: Teyana has inherited the bloodline of gens Nefvarin amazingly strongly; her parents are both exalts who are, themselves, of notably high breeding, but Teyana's own display of high breeding came as a surprise to some anyway, as Exalts of this standard are rare in Lookshy.

Connections: contacts and influence within the intelligence directorate.

Reputation: Teyana has a reputation for having joined the army at an extremely young age, and for managing to keep up with those older than her remarkably well. She's known to be efficient and to have a lot of potential, but is viewed in something of a negative light by a few groups -- some resent being bested by someone younger than themselves.
