After the end of what will be called the Battle of Black Chase, the world stops for a short while. The major forces in the world go back to lick their wounds. The Legions go back to the defensive and try and hold on to what lands they have. The Solar Deliberative keeps on building their new city and reflects on the events of the past few years.
Zion has decided that it is time to make peace with the Dynast Dragon Blooded. He feels that a war will not solve the issues of the world. So he decides to gather together a band of heroes to go to the realm to discuss such a possibility with the Empress.
Arrangements are made with certain key players in the Realm [Key Members in house Ledaal] to smuggle the heroes of the Deliberative into the Realm. These people are meet by mortals at first and then Dragon Blooded Senators. They are prepared to meet her. The meeting goes well. They are allowed to stay there for a time and are given some nice accommodations. Events are played out that they are made to look like criminals. But in the process they are also given information that the Empress has been talking to the Mask of Winters, and that there was some deal going on. Also, their new contact says that there was some buzz about a Warstrider. But in the end, a treaty is going to be made thanks to their efforts.
Around the same time, they are told by the Deliberative that they need to come back home. Given the circumstance with the players current reputations. The news is grave that the realm is doing business with a Deathlord. Such an action requires further investigations. Zion asks them to go into the Mask of Winters territory and find out what is going on there.
What they find is a massive new machines and new Warstrider’s, the Warstrider’s are powered by souls and not any pilot. They are almost like automatons. But what is really important, is that the new machines are going to be let louse on the world. They plan on first attacking the weakened Solars and are going to go straight for Lookshy. As the Heroes leave, they find that the new machines are right on their tail. And the new machines are very powerful.
They are told to go straight for Lookshy. There they will be given new warstriders and they are to stand guard there. To draw the line at Lookshy. After a few hours of combat, the Death Lord then retreats back into his realm. He starts to make raids to certain areas. The heroes are asked to see fi they can make a connection between the Empress and the Deathlord.
After a few days of silence, the Solars start to rebuild Lookshy. But they are ever on the defensive and are almost expecting a strike at any moment. Then suddenly, news comes that the Army of Winter has bypassed them and that they are on their way to Itamas. Going off to Itamas, they find themselves looking at a burning city. The final battle begins on the fields
