Yes i know, its a blatent rip off. However one of my players wanted a Final Fanasy styled charecter, and if your players just aint havin fun then yoe ur doin somehing wrong. So i let him stumble upon this innovative way of capping a manse. He blew his first manse up so, feelin bad for the guy i created this. Let me know what you think.
Materia
Materia is created when a Manse is built to create special essence fractures through a hearth stone. These fractures are the result of over stimulizing the essence being directly fed into the hearthstone through geomantic means. This produces a hearthstone that while has a single duration effect and is replinished within the manse very quickly and in numbers. These manses are called Materia Reactors. A materia reactor produces 6 - (the manses rating) in materia. It takes 1 week x (the manses rating) to produce one Materia. Anyone in possesion of a materia may use its power for (the manses rating) x 1 mote, after doin so the materia crubles into dust leaving a small wisp of essence behind. A new Materia will then be formed in the Reactor at the normal rate. Anyone attuned to the Materia Reactor may place a materia into a hearthstone setting and recieve 1 mote of essence per hour. While these special hearth stones WILL NOT restore essence witthout a hearthstone slot attuned to the wielder, they do however only require an activation charge in-order to activae its internal power, for essence users acivation costs one mote, for mortals 1 willpower. While a manse will continue to produce Materia even if the others shards have not been used, stockpiling these stones will eventually cause an energy surge, destroying all stones from that reactor, and most likely the manse they came from. Storytellers, i leave it up to you to flesh out specifics for your party.

Smoke Stone (reactor 1)

This materia creates a cloud of smoke in a 5 yard radius, any attempt to see into he cloud suffers a -2 success penalty. In no wind this cloud lasts for one scene, however modrate to high winds will easily blow the smoke away.
Stone of Undenyable Voice (reactor 1)

Anyone Attempting to hear the user of this stone over high winds or loud crouds, over a long distance, while speaking softly ect. adds 2 dice any such roll.
Identifing Gem(reactor2)
Duration(Scene)
Type (Celestial)
Class(generic)
For the rest of the scene the user may add 4 die to any roll involving identifying the powers or uses of an artifact.
As you can see many hearthstones in the book can be reduced to a single usable charge. A good idea for duration is 1 scene or hour per manse rating.
