Once a valuable artefact of the Ragaran family, the Astral red jade Tonfa Yaneska has faded from memory as it's whereabouts became unknown not long after the slaying of a Solar. It was once believed that a Ragaran who had failed to Exalt stole it from the House, but upon finding him dead not far from the Realm all hope of recovering the artefact was lost. Truth be told, the artefact was given to a travelling band of acrobats as form of payment for lodging and food.

Recently the artefact has once again fallen into the Ragaran House as a member of the family, who was banished for reasons kept secret, has come across a group of acrobats who have safe guarded the artefact through the generations. The Ragaran fathered a son while travelling with the acrobats and soon found that the acrobats were more than they seemed, and in return for keeping their motives secret they gave him Yaneska after seeing that he was able to use it in ways they had not known. The years passed and the travellers grew older. The Ragaran changed his name and took his wife’s, Gougie, as their son grew and showed signs of being an exceptional acrobat. Soon the travellers would see the end of their days, attacked by a band of thieves. The sole survivor being the son of the once Ragaran, Duri. Now Yaneska is in his hands, and is even closer to the Ragaran family than it has been since it left the family so long ago.
