GregLink/ThreeArtifactCombo
Purely for my own purposes, I needed a place to sum up the effects of the three uber-artifacts my character is carrying. There's a lot of attribute and ability bonuses, so I thought I'd tally them up here.
Str 3 2 4 = 9
Dex 4 2 = 6
Sta 3 2 4 = 9
Cha 2 2 = 4
Man 2
App 2
Per 2
Int 4 2 = 6
Wit 2
Soak 4 6 4 = 14
Athletics 2 2 = 4
Presence 2
Craft 3
Lore 3
Occult 3
Martial Arts 4
=
Having done that, I then add them to my char's base stats:
Str 11
Dex 9
Sta 11
Cha 7
Man 6
App 4
Per 4
Int 11
Wit 5
Resulting in a "Deadly Beastform Transformation" for my Solar. Nothing like 11 Str to get the day started. And a base Bashing and Lethal soak of 25 isn't anything to scoff at either. (Agg soak of 14)
As a side note, PC movement is Dex+12 yards combat motion, and (Dex*3)+20 yards full move. For me, that's base of 21 yards in-combat, and 47 yards out of combat. As a turn is 3s, that's roughly 32 MPH. Not bad. Then again, with artifacts, I double my base move, to 65 MPH running, which is quite nice. I also get double actions per turn, pushing it to 130 MPH. And flying, I get three times that, for 390 MPH. So I can't really catch a 747 (which moves at about 550 MPH), but with something - anything - to boost me further, I could probably do it.
As for lifting, if we assume a simple Athletics 5 (easy when you've got +4), that's a STR+Ath total of 16. Conveniently, 16 is the last place in the lifting chart where a new point doesn't equal 500 lbs. Thus, we start at a base lift of 2,500 pounds, and any point above that (be it from a willpower-based feat of strength, or something like ISE) is another 500 pounds. A Honda Accord weighs about 3000 pounds, so I won't carrying cars anytime soon, but I'm real close to lifting them with effort. A volvo wagon is only 4000 pounds, or Str+Ath 19. So given a modicum of effort, cars aren't that bad of a lift. If the char should, by chance, have a default Ath of 3, that puts the base up to 11+3+4=18, at 3500 pounds, lifting nearly any car at will.
