CWD/VitriolicExalted
Much as the mighty Terrestrial Exalted of creation are empowered by the fundamental elements of Creation, the sinister Vitriolic Exalted are empowered with the toxic elemental fury of Malfeas. While Hell has only one "true" element, Vitriol, the hate-fluid that pervades Malfeas is itself an amalgamation of the Yozis' collective impotent fury. Should one isolate the uniting solvent that composes the shared hate of the Yozis, one is left many "contaminants" and impurities that are in fact, the individual nuances of the Yozis' hate for Creation, the ones that, like Malfeas' own urge to conquer all, or Adorjan's utter hatred of all noise, are unique to one yozi alone. The Vitriolic Exalted, as a reflection of this, come in as many varieties as there are Yozi.

Origin
The Vitriolic Exalted are the result of almost four centuries of effort on the part of Peleps Auriga, a notable Akuma of Kimberry, one of those rare mortals who merit the attention of a Yozi. Once a promising member of her house, her failure to exalt would have relegated her to a minor position in the house hierarchy. Desperately attempting to hold onto her influence, she sought aid from Kimberry on the advice of a friend, herself a closeted Yozi Cultist. Her wish for exaltation granted in a roundabout manner, Auriga, without the distorting aspect of a prior exaltation, possessed an anima of black, depthless water that obscured. Taking note of how indistinguishable her Anima was from a true water aspect dragon-blooded to the casual eye, Auriga communed with her infernal patron and, showing surprising independence and agency for an Akuma, offered Kimberry alternative troops to the dwindling Lintha. The Terrestrial Exalted were created by a primordial, and are not the Yozis primordials through a different lens? Better yet, such "Infernal Terrestrial" Exalted could seamlessly infiltrate the Realm posing as Princes of Earth, and act from within to tighten the stranglehold of The Sea That Marched Against The Flame. This idea intrigued the great mother, and she redirected Auriga's efforts towards examining the nature of the Terrestrial Exaltation, however she made little progress prior to the arrival of the Green Sun Princes. At first hesitant to join the reclamation, when Kimberry learnt of The Ebon Dragon's capture of several Dragon-blooded of potent breeding, she arranged an exchange. Kimberry would join in and support the reclamation, in return for one sixth of any further captured exaltations bearing her nature. In addition, Auriga would be permitted to examine The Ebon Dragon's captives and any research progress would be shared among the Yozis of the Reclamation.
With access to Dragon-blooded of unparalleled breeding for an extended period, and the cooperation of fellow Akuma Maheka Damaj, Auriga made leaps and bounds in her research and soon presented a method in which the mortals of Creation might be twisted into warped reflections of Terrestrial Exalts. Whenever an Endowment Charm would grant 5 dots in the Demonic Inheritance background to a non-celestial Exalt or mortal, the user of the charm may instead choose to grant dots in the Infernal Breeding background based on their permanent essence, per the table below. If they have not already, the recipient immediately exalts, with essence pools, dice pool caps, etc. identical to that of a Dragon-blooded exalt. The Infernal Breeding Background functions exactly like the traditional, Dragon-blooded Breeding background, but is distinct and separate. If a Terrestrial Exalt would gain any number of dots in the Infernal Breeding Background, they instead subtract their current Breeding rating from that number and gain that many dots instead. Gaia's Blood breeds true and runs thick with power - if the recipient has more dots in Breeding than can be granted of Infernal Breeding, the effect fails, producing an explosion of mixed Infernal and Gaian elemental wrath due to the feedback.
Permanent Essence | Maximum Rating Granted of Infernal Breeding |
7 | 0-1* |
8 | 2-3* |
9 | 4-5* |
10 | N/A |

Aspect
Unlike the Terrestrials of Creation, the many aspects of the Vitriolic Exalted are not in harmonious accord with each other - the Yozi are as alien to one another as they are to the inhabitants of Creation. As a consequence, they cannot learn charms outside of their aspect without storyteller permission, which should be provided only when a charm easily meshes with their patron Yozi. For example, a Vitriolic Exalted of Cecelyne might be permitted to learn the charms of another desert-themed or sand-based Yozi. Even if this other Yozi also has an elemental theme of flame, charms based around that aspect could not be learned under any circumstances. The Yozi however, are wary of the mixing of their selves, and any cross-aspect charms learnt are regarded similarly to Heresy Charms wielded by Green Sun Princes. Vitriol, the common the hatred of the imprisoned primordials, is the sole exception - by its very nature, as a raw substance composed of common fury and hate, Vitriolic Charms may be learnt by any Vitriolic Exalted.
Malfean
The charms of the Malfean Vitriolics, more commonly know as Brass-Born, have a strong association with the Malfean elements of Brass and Fire.
