Senses

Keen Senses Technique

  • Cost: 3m, 1wp
  • Type: Simple
  • Duration: One scene
  • Mins: Awareness 3, Essence 1

When activating this Charm, the Solar chooses a set of senses: sight, hearing and touch, or taste and smell. The Exalt gains two automatic successes on any check based just on that sense, and their effective range is increased by a factor of ten.

Sensory Acuity Prana

  • Cost: 3m
  • Type: Simple
  • Mins: Awareness 4, Essence 2
  • Prereqs: Keen Senses Technique

The Solar makes a single Perception+Awareness roll, and applies the result to each thing within reach of their senses that would warrant a check.

Unswerving Eye Method

  • Type: Permanent
  • Mins: Awareness 5, Essence 2
  • Prereqs: Keen Senses Technique

While Keen Senses (Sight) active, the Solar is automatically aware of any effort to hide from, steal from, or conceal something from their vision. If the feat is undetectable, they are left knowing that something is amiss - but not what it is.

Blink

  • Cost: 1m, 1wp
  • Type: Reflexive
  • Mins: Awareness 5, Essence 3
  • Prereqs: Sensory Acuity Prana

The Solar may reroll any Awareness roll. They retain the benefit of any Charms used to enhance the original roll, and can activate additional Charms (or spend more on them) for the reroll.

Unsurpassed Sight Discipline

  • Type: Permanent
  • Mins: Awareness 5, Essence 3
  • Prereqs: Sensory Acuity Prana

When Keen Senses Technique is used to enhance sight, the Solar gains four automatic successes rather than two.

Genius Palate Summation

  • Cost: 2m
  • Type: Supplemental

  • Prereqs: Keen Senses Technique

By taking a sip or bite, the Solar automatically succeeds at a read intentions roll against someone who has prepared or served food or drink.

Foe-Scenting Method

  • Type: Permanent
  • Mins: Awareness 4, Essence 2
  • Prereqs: Keen Senses Technique

The Solar is automatically aware of each person within range of their sense of smell and, if the Solar has smelt them before, their identity. This Charm does not reveal where they are.

Unsurpassed Taste And Smell Discipline

  • Type: Permanent
  • Mins: Awareness 5, Essence 3
  • Prereqs: Sensory Acuity Prana

When Keen Senses Technique is used to enhance taste and smell, the Solar gains four automatic successes rather than two.

Living Pulse Perception

  • Type: Permanent
  • Mins: Awareness 4, Essence 2
  • Prereqs: Keen Senses Method

As long as their subject is moving, the Solar receives no visibility penalties on rolls regarding them.

Roused Dragon Detection

  • Cost: 1m, 1wp
  • Type: Supplementary
  • Mins: Awareness 5, Essence 2
  • Prereqs: Keen Senses Method

An attack enhanced by this Charm may be made against a hidden target that the Solar knows is nearby (treat as having a cover bonus of +4 Defence). If it hits, the target is forced to move, incurring appropriate penalties.

When Keen Senses Technique is used to enhance hearing and touch, the Solar gains four automatic successes rather than two.

Dedicated Unerring Ear

  • Type: Permanent
  • Mins: Awareness 5, Essence 4
  • Prereqs: Unsurpassed Hearing and Touch Discipline

Whenever the Solar is addressed by someone they have a Major or Defining Intimacy for, whatever the distance, they are made aware. By spending 3 motes, they can listen to what they have to say clearly, as though they were present.

Eye of the Unconquered Sun

  • Cost: 10m, 1wp
  • Type: Simple
  • Duration: One turn
  • Mins: Awareness 5, Essence 4
  • Prereqs: All three Unsurpassed (Sense) Discipline Charms

The Solar’s gaze breaks all forms of disguise and concealment, and clearly illuminates all objects regardless of what stands in the way. The Solar rolls Perception+Awareness; a person can choose to dodge the Solar’s gaze if this is lower than their Evasion.

Readiness

Awakening Eye

The Solar may make Awareness checks without penalty if they are Incapacitated or asleep, and they wake the moment that they are threatened by something - whether or not they succeed.

Surprise Anticipation Method

  • Mins: Awareness 4, Essence 2
  • Prereqs: Awakening Eye

The Solar treats an ambush attack as a surprise attack.
