The Ghost:Artifacts/Serpent and Heron
This Pair of Daiklaves have slightly enhanced stats and significantly useful abilities: they would be fine tools for any Dragon Blooded practitioner of Snake or Crane Style and could be invaluable to the celestial exalt who had mastered both styles and wished to feign to be a Dragon Blooded.
Serpent And Heron
Forged in the waning years of the First Age by one of the most skilled Terrestrial artificers creation has ever seen this matched pair of Hook Daiklaves are built from Green and Blue Jade respectively. They are meant to work together as the perfect aids to the practice of Snake and Crane Style martial arts, but more than that to be used in the achievement of the Snake Crane Secret whereby the two styles combine to create something greater than ether one alone.
History
The two Daiklaves have a tumultuous and storied history and those who have used them swear that the blades have minds of their own, though no evidence of such can be found by even the most extensive charm use.
Creation
The Story of the Serpent and the Heron begins in year 3535 of the Old Realm with a strike of Jade on the now lost Island of Malasaragara: a massive island which was washed away by the Balorian Crusade. The strike was unusual because the jade beds discovered held mixed Blue and Green Jade, which was abnormal to find mixed together and more abnormal still to find in the islands of The Far West This jade strike was of course reported to the Deliberative and miners were sent to cut it up and haul it off for use as coinage and in artifice.
This is where our Dragon Blooded artificer enters the picture: Runelisu Xunika was at this time legend among the Dragon Blooded as a creator of wonders who rivaled the Solars in her genius, having created many great artifacts of Jade including designing, engineering and constructing a Jade Royal Warstrider without the assistance or involvement of any Solar Exalted. This amalgam of Blue and Green Jade from the strike on Malasaragara got her head whirring and she procured three talents or so of the stuff to work with on a new project.
She locked herself in her workshop on the south shore of the Blessed Isle for six months and spoke to no one, while she drew up plans and then emerged with a sheaf of plans and took herself off to Deheleshen to requisition some time in the Factory Cathedral there.
