Level 3 Artifacts

Sun-Gazer’s Visors

Art 3, attune 4
These goggles allow one to look directly into the sun, unblinking, and see what lies there: a perfect reflection of the stars above, as well as the will of the Unconquered Sun himself.
  • Astrology rituals normally taking less than a day to complete may be done in a single scene and do not require a willpower, so long as the sun is visible. P
  • Prayer rolls to the Unconquered Sun done during daylight are at -3 difficulty,
  • Attuned user takes no penalty for lighting conditions (bright or dark) so long as these visors are worn.

Desert Rat’s Wisdom

Art 3, attune 0
The desert rat is a keen survivor, knowing where to find shade, where to find water, and how to avoid predators. These goggles, originally built for the desert, have found use in many places due to the useful functions they serve.
  • While looking through these goggles, the owner may ignore all penalties to survival or awareness rolls based on vision.
  • Due to the focus on the land these goggles provide, all geomancy-related rolls get an additional +3 dice.

Eyes of Foretelling Storm

Art 3, attune 2
The Eyes of Foretelling Storm are an unremarkable set of goggles, built in the style that the southern tribesmen wear. It is, in fact, not distinguishable from such eyepieces without a thorough investigation (difficulty 3). However, when attuned and worn, these goggles provide unnatural clarity of sight, especially in bad weather.
  • The user may ignore all penalties to vision-based Awareness, Sail, and Survival rolls.
  • All rolls to predict the weather are at difficulty 1, no matter the area.
  • The accurate eye for the weather makes changing it easier as well: all rituals of the Art of Weather Working are at -2 difficulty.
