As described in DissectingDefenseValue, rules on how stunts affect defense directly contradict themselves. This variant makes stunting work consistently with rolled adders like the First Excellency for defense. This treats ex2e.147 as canon and treats ex2e.124 as incorrect. Treat virtue channel dice like stunt dice. It is possible (probably even) this variation is actually canonical.
