I'm testing out a way of handling Transformation Charms so that they are suitable for their price at activation while not crippling the Lunar with massive commitment of motes. As such, all Transformation charms will now be indefinite in duration but only require the commitment of one-half, rounded up, of their motes - thusly a Lunar cannot rapidly mutate himself without taking commeasurate lose of motes, but a Lunar who is patient enough to wait can essentially 'recoup' half of his investment on such Charms.
Hide-Toughening Essence
Cost: 3 motes per 1L/1B soak (1 committed) Duration: Indefinite Type: Simple (Transformation) Minimum Resistance: 2 Minimum Essence: 1 Prerequisite Charms: None
Boosts Soak in both categories. Cannot grant more soak than the Lunar's Resistance or Stamina (whichever's lower), compatible with armor. Lunars under this system do not have a '12 cap' on their Soaks - they instead reach 'rollover hardness' at 12 soak equal to the difference between their soak and 12. Thusly, a Lunar using this charm alongside Invulnerable Moonsilver Carapace to get soak of 22B/16L counts as having 22B/16L soak AND hardness 10 against bashing attacks, hardness 4 against lethal attacks.
This is a Transformation Charm of the Alpha Totem. It is deliberately more efficient as a Transformation Charm than it should be.
Armor-Forming Technique
Cost: 2 motes per 2L soak (1 committed) Duration: Indefinite Type: Simple (Transformation) Minimum Resistance: 3 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: Hide-Toughening Essence
Boosts lethal soak. Cannot grant more soak than the Lunar's Resistance or Stamina (whichever's lower), incompatible with armor but stacks with Hide-Toughening Essence. Lunars under this system do not have a '12 cap' on their Soaks - they instead reach 'rollover hardness' at 12 soak equal to the difference between their soak and 12.

Impenetrable Moon-Devil Hide
Cost: 10 motes per success (5 committed), 2 Willpower Duration: Indefinite Type: Simple (Transformation) Minimum Resistance: 5 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Armor-Forming Technique
The hide of a Lunar using this charm becomes utterly godlike in resilience and power. All but the greatest of attacks bounce off of it, and the weapons of mortals crack on its wondrous surface. Upon activating this Charm, the Lunar may negate a number of damage successes on all attacks directed towards him - up to his Essence or Stamina in successes, whichever is lower. While this Charm is active, the character soaks Aggravated damage with his Lethal soak, but does not get to negate Aggravated damage successes. This Charm is incompatible with armor and the Lunar suffers a -1 mobility penalty while it is active, but no fatigue penalty. Should a non-exceptional, non-Artifact weapon strike the Lunar and have its damage successes reduced to 0 by this Charm, it breaks.

Stalwart Tortoise Formation
Cost: 4 motes per success (2 committed) Duration: Indefinite Type: Simple (Transformation) Minimum Resistance: 4 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: Hide-Toughening Essence
Creates a shield on the Lunar's arm that negates one success per 4 motes spent at activation, as a normal shield - it does not affect mobility or fatigue but does cause a 1-die penalty on all actions with the arm in question. Cannot negate more successes than the Lunar's Essence or Stamina (whichever's lower), compatible with armor.

Mother's Arms Meditation
Cost: 1 mote per 2B/1L soak Duration: One Scene Type: Simple Minimum Resistance: 4 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: Armor-Forming Technique, Stalwart Tortoise Formation
The Lunar touches an ally (this Charm does not work on the Lunar himself) and gently wraps them in armor of wondrous, supple Moonsilver. No more motes can be spent on this charm than the Lunar's Stamina. The conjured armor provides no mobility penalty or fatigue, but is incompatible with normal armor. It does not, however, function as armor in regards to Martial Arts - it is wonderfully light and fluid. The normal Lunar rules for 'wraparound hardness' do not apply with this Charm if it is applied to a non-Lunar - they lack the peculiar resilience of the Lunar Exalts.
Moonsilver Womb Method
Cost: 7 motes, 1 willpower, 1 health level Duration: Instant Type: Reflexive Minimum Resistance: 5 Minimum Essence: 4 Prerequisite Charms: Impenetrable Moon-Devil Hide, Mother's Arms Meditation
The Lunar may activate this charm when an ally (this Charm does not work on the Lunar himself) within (Essence x 3) yards is attacked (after defenses but before soak.) With a wrenching noise, a small amount of the Lunar's blood leaps from his body, dealing an unsoakable level of aggravated damage (Yes, I know. It's to keep Johnny Regeneratey from overdoing it). The blood flies to the subject and wreathes them in a chitinous carapace of moonsilver, which melts away moments later - leaving the ally unharmed. This Charm utterly negates the damage of a single attack that targets the ally, and cannot be circumvented by any strategy, Charm, or sorcery - it is the finest tool in the arsenal of a Lunar bodyguard.
Moon Shadows Sun
Cost: 9 motes, 1 Willpower Duration: One Turn Type: Reflexive Minimum Resistance: 5 Minimum Essence: 4 Prerequisite Charms: Invulnerable Moon-Devil Hide, Stalwart Tortoise Formation
The Lunar wreathes himself in wondrous light and a carapace of moonsilver, flowing over his form to create a suit of armor with no cracks, no flaws, no frailties - utter perfection of form. This Charm utterly negates the effects of environmental damage for the turn, and the Lunar may freely ignore damage from attacks of weapons not made of the Five Magical Materials or enhanced with a Charm. Against all other attacks, the Lunar's soak is increased in both categories by 15. This soak stacks with armor and cannot be circumvented by any strategem, Charm, or sorcery. It does not count as armor for the purpose of Charms that are incompatible with armor. While this Charm is active, the Lunar suffers a -3 penalty to his Dexterity and Perception, but this cannot reduce either Attribute below 1.
Moon's Unassailable Surface
Cost: 5 motes Duration: Instant Type: Reflexive Minimum Resistance: 4 Minimum Essence: 2 Prerequisite Charms: Hide-Toughening Essence
The character steadies himself and assumes the majestic posture of the radiant, gentle moon. His flesh toughens to meet any force, his form is rooted to the ground, and his entire body glows with silver light. This Charm may be activated in response to an attack the character is aware of, before soak but after defenses are rolled. It reduces the damage of an attack to the minimum for that attack, usually the attacker's Essence. This is instead of, not in addition to, normal soak - an attack reduced in this fashion does not get checked against hardness. Finally, the character using this charm cannot be moved save of his own accord - it can be activated to negate the effects of a single trip, throw, or knockdown.
Resilience in Frailty Stance
Cost: 2 motes per die Duration: Instant Type: Reflexive Minimum Resistance: 4 Minimum Essence: 3 Prerequisite Charms: Moon's Unassailable Surface
The character flows instead of breaks, bends instead of falters - his entire body gives way before an attack, negating much of the damage it would do. This Charm may be activated after an attack hits, before soak but after defenses are rolled. It allows the character to, pre-soak, negate damage dice - up to his Stamina + Essence in dice - at the cost of 2 motes per die. Attacks decreased in this fashion are then soaked (or, given hardness, possibly ignored) as if they had done the reduced damage.
