CynisAelius

Cynis Aelius was the first son of two fairly influential parents. His mother is a famous general and his father in his youth was a part of the Wyld Hunt. His mother is active in the political arena, she wishes to make sure that Cynis is the house that will rule the Realm. Aelius is the only child out of three that exalted to a wood aspect, this disappointed his mother who wanted to groom a daughter for the scarlet throne. Aelius never quite for one reason or another found the parties Cynis is so famous for to his liking and usually would make token appearances before sneaking off. His mother grew increasingly frustrated over this since Aelius was a bit of a pretty boy and the parties were perfect opportunities for him to “collect” lovers and thus cement future allies for himself and the house. His mother grew curious to where Aelius would go to when he left the parties. She found out that he had a mortal lover at a nearby village, after hearing this news she went to Aelius to ask him if she should buy the girl from her parents for him. Aelius flew into a rage and the two exchanged words and have not been on good terms since.

After that Aelius left for secondary school and decided to go to the House of Bells. Aelius proved to have a talent for archery, but his heart was not in it and he started studying medicine between lessons. Aelius also studied languages, for had decided he wanted to go to the threshold and help the Realm’s allies. Exalted, Aelius believes should look after mortals and protect them. Aelius after graduating from the House of Bells wishes to join the army, and to be sent off to be an advisor to one of the Realm’s subsidiaries. Aelius has a large hatred for Anathema who he sees as demons taking advantage of mortals.

Unfortunately for Aelius after being given a small force he can do nothing with it. He is kept at the Blessed Isle because any army deployment is seen as a political action. So he has to stay around and find a way to stay out of his mother’s plans. Things with his father are distant since Aelius knows that his father speaks for his mother half the time. Aelius does not dare see his lover since he is afraid that his mother may find out and take the initiative and kidnapped the girl. Aelius is usually calm but grows passionate on the subject of the Dragon-Blooded’s responsibility to mortals and his hatred for Anathema. He enjoys trips to the woods where he finds peace with his element. Aelius is not the most socially minded person and can’t tell a lie to save his life. He dresses very plainly because he is ashamed on how richly the Dragon-Blooded live while mortals suffer. Aelius tries to distance himself from the hedonistic ways of his family as much as possible.
