Expanded Traits

Hydrosensitive: Due to his connection to the specific aspect of Earth (sand), water affects Aren in a much different way than anyone else. While he can imbibe it, and must to survive (since he's still half human), if he drinks more than the minimum necessary to survive, he takes one health level of Bashing damage per additional liter. Also, being submerged in water Is extremely hurtful. For every turn he spends submerged, he suffers one health level of Bashing damage.

Potamophobia: Directly related to his hydrosensitivity, Aren has developed a strong fear of large bodies of water, specifically rivers and lakes. While he can still be around them, if he comes too close to one (enough to be pushed inside) he will become extremely paranoid. The ocean is a mystery to him. His courage allows him to win over his fears most of the time, but at times it becomes too strong.

Enemy: Though not actually an enemy, the Emissary presents a direct danger to Aren's life, due to what his life is all about. The Emissary would usually be a worse threat, but since it's actually more the other way around, it's a passive enemy.

Alien Upbringing: Aren's mother is a very paranoid woman (due to Kamsin). Thus, she has raised Aren with weird, stylistic rituals. While he can survive in the 'real world,' he's somewhat odd. His table manners, for one, are impeccable--though he doesn't really realize it. His emotions trigger at odd moments and he sometimes seems much different around crowds of people.

Unusual Appearance: His skin, being aspected to sand, suffers when confronted with humidity. It's constantly becoming darker or lighter depending on the level of humidity in the air. Closer to water, he becomes very dark, while in a desert, he's a pale, sandy white.
