Wolf of the West

Background

Born in one of the smaller island chains near Coral, Wolf of the West was a fisherman's son and would have probaly lived a boring, uneventful, and possibly short life if not for a streak of curiousity about the swaggering swashbucklers that he occasionally saw on the docks of the larger towns his family's boat pulled into. Eventually, curiousity got the best of the young fisherman, and he managed to insinuate himself in with the crew of one of the smaller ships. He always was good at making friends. To make a very long story short, after a good deal of drinking, tall-tale swapping, and more drinking, young Wolf found himself as a low ranking member of the pirate crew he'd befriended back in the tavern. Wolf quickly began to gain a minor reputation among his own crew, as his willingness to work and a quick mind seemed to guarantee him promotion.

It was when Wolf of the West was a young and promising lieutenant in the crew of a pillaging pirate corsair in the seas of the Western Isles. He exalted during a particularly harsh battle against a pair of larger Linthian ships, rallying the survivors of his crew and leading them to a victory over their enemies (Well, successful escape, at least). With the old captain dead, and after calmly reasoning out that the rumors of Anathema were obviously false, the Wolf of the West, as he took to calling himself, began to lead his small crew on a glorious voyage through hellwater and conflict.

Following 'hunches', as he called them, the newly Exalted Zenith led his crew far to the East, avoiding the warships of the Realm and a threat of mutiny through pure guts, skill, and personal charisma. Helping this, mind, was one of the first locations his 'hunches' led to: A small, lonely, nearly deserted atoll almost in the middle of nowhere. There, a water spirit, bound by a promise it had made years earlier, imparted the artifact it had been hiding for centuries to it's reborn owner. The daiklave that wolf recieved was a great help to him, as, besides being light and strong, it aided him in handily defeating the one or two challengers to his captaincy that popped up.

Continuing east, Wolf and his crew finally landed on the coast, and, after exploring inland, the Zenith came face to face with a small band of other Exalted. After some rough introductions (Smoothed over via bunnies), the Wolf of the West joined his old Circle once more, taking part of his crew along with him as he followed them to their manse at Jade-Upon-The-River.

Currently, Wolf is attempting to re-establish the half-remembered connection he used to have with the Unconquered Sun, as well as to slowly gather enough power to retire to the West with a fleet of corsairs under his control.

Of course, Life has a way of not going the way one plans, as evidenced by the run in that he's had with the minions of ancient evil...Of course, for Wolf, it isn't a big deal, as he managed to save the girl while he was at it.
