The Tarot of Summoning

(Ring artifact 2)

Attumement cost: 6 motes

  • The Deck contains 53 cards, each of which can be attuned to a possession of the raksha who owns the deck.
  • By using an action the raksha may draw a card at random from the deck and invoke it into creation. The card disappears until the end of the story.
  • If the possession isn't destroyed then it returns with the card at the end of the story. Otherwise the card becomes de-attuned and a new possession may replace it.
  • The cards may only be attuned to different possessions between stories.
  • The 53rd card is the Wyld card and may be drawn in place of a random card. The Wyld card never dissappears and as such may be reinvoked as many times as there are cards remaining.

Suggested tracking method in play

The player should keep a list of how each possession is attuned to a normal set of playing cards (with the Wyld card played by the joker). The player should then carry a pack of cards, with the joker sepperated. When they wish to summon a possession they simply draw a card and see which possession is summoned. Cards that have been drawn should be kept seperate (in a discard pile) until the end of the story. If the joker is summoned draw a card and place it on the discard pile. Destroyed possessions are crossed off the list.
