Using the formula (average of parents' Essence, rounded down), you can indeed have Inheritance above 5 if you have more than one magical parent with Essence 5+. It's rare to be sure, but entirely possible.
Inheritance 6 would give you 36 bonus points and let you take 20 points of Flaws.
Inheritance 7 bumps this up to 42 and 25, respectively.
At Inheritance 8, it's 48 and 25.
Inheritance 9 = 54 and 25
Inheritance 10 (Didn't Jupiter and Chejop Kejack have more important things to do?) = 60 and 25.
Patron caps at 5.
